Doing ok, thanks for asking. I am on call tonight and just trying to through it. I have decided to continue to post BUT be more neutral (it is a struggle I freely admit ) in my opinions. I like this board and find some catharsis in it. I hope things are going well with you. Thanks for the concern.

I NEED my sleep!
I'm glad you are going to continue to post- I'm sure you've seen the many posts telling you that you add valuable insight here. I'm also glad that you seem well on the way to healing yourself- which I think this site is about as much as healing marriages.
Take care- and I hope you get some sleep.

LOL, about the call....it is so not healthy. I haev an addiciton to coffeee becaseu of this lifestyle. I know that it seems weird, but you just get used to it. I have worked a 60 hour shift one (Friday night at 6pm till MOnday am at 6 am) and that included 7 trips to to the OR. Now that is brutal and probably not healthy. YOu learn to function on 3 or 4 hours of sleep, but I have to imagine that this is going to catch up to me eventually. There is nothing worse than being in a deep sleep and getting a page from the ER, which usually means somebody is sick and I need to see them. Uggh. Anyways, I am whining, but there is nothing I would ratehr do with my life than be a doctor. DOn't know why I just posted this, I guess I am crazy.....LOL

Hi, LM. Your posts keep me on my toes. Love the no Bull$hit attitude.
I see your personal growth in the couples of weeks. It is a very hard thing to do. I get the feeling you are a no-nonsense; let's fix this NOW kind of man. And waffling doesn't sit well. ANd NOT being in control is the hardest to take. I know that feeling
The first couple of posts, I had to turn the glare down from the flames on my monitor. But your aggressive stance has become assertiveness which is a far better place to be.
Please keep posting. WHen I feel like wallowing or having a huge pity party for one, I think of what you would say, and get the heck out of that mode. Scared of You! So Thanks. You are making me think long and hard. And that is a gift.

My job is *ok* - I don't hate it - but I certainly have no passion for it. There are many things I can imagine doing besides this- but unfortunately none of them are practically possible (economically etc etc).
Lemonman- I want to take this opportunity to apologize to you again for my initial posts to you. You are right- I was misplacing my anger about many issues with my dad on to you (even though you are my age and not his!) I adore my Dad- but I resented his workahaulic-ism growing up, and I resented the inability of my Dad to find the time to spend with my Mom. I don't blame him for their eventual Divorce (after 33 years of marriage) - both parties are obviously to blame. But the *little girl* part of me hurts thinking that he chose his work over his wife and family. So- you got the backlash of all of that merely because of your profession! Sorry again. I'm glad you're staying around. [ October 29, 2004, 06:46 AM: Message edited by: Sadfww ]
