I have read that 20% of divorced couples end up reconciling and/or remarrying. Does anyone know how many divorces are stopped midstream (before they become final) because of reconcilation?
I am not banking on this happening to me...just curious because the 20% number shocked me.

Have you read the stats on saveyourmarriagecentral.com? I don't think that the one you requested is there but there are other interesting ones. As well if you IC with Penny then she might be able to give you a better idea. C.

Interesting and kind of depressing...guess I'll never will understand what possesses some to betray their spouses. It is just plain wrong. These statistics indicate that affairs and divorce are almost becoming a norm in this country...perhaps I am an old fashioned 28 yo but I still believe in the whole concept of "one true love". It is just sad that many are taking "love" and "marriage" so lightly so that us betrayed spouses have to reevaluate this "old fashioned" belief. It will take me time to move forward and find that "one true love" a second time since I still believe WH and I were meant to be. Fortunately, there are a junkload of sensitive, caring, nice, beautiful men in this world...my WH used to be one of them but he certainly isn't now.
Happy Halloween,
-K

Don't bum out too much. We got the high ground ya know! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />
M is much more challenging these days because of the rebellion of society against it. Hollywood and TV has ruined it's sacredness. The church doesn't even seem to hold it that sacred anymore. I was told by a very conservative (older) adventist pastor that D seemed like it might be the only way for me. What a crock man.
I don't really believe in the "one true love" theory. I really think that that Dr. H is right in that there are lots and lots of people that we can fall in love with. It's all circumstancial. If your EN's get filled in the right way BAM!!! And that's it. Kind of unromantic huh...Sorry bout that. JMO.
