I just saw the show with Bruce Willis and Michelle Feifer. It was about a marriage in trouble and the turmoil couples go through leading to separation, dating others, & reconcilliation. It was a well done movie, imo. I would suggest you rent it if you haven't seen it.
The history within their marriage plays an important role in the end.

TS, saw this movie when it first came out. Was experiencing a difficult time in my M then. It caused my eyes to tear up...
Can't say it mirrored my own M but it did was a powerful story for me.
