Just saw you posting today, and thought I'd ask how you were doing.......

Last we heard from you, you were struggling a bit.....

Thanks for asking.

Still struggling. Still frustrated. Still committed to working through it.

In spite of all of this, I feel more sure about who I am and what kind of life I want for myself than I have in a very long time.

It feels good to know how you feel about yourself...that way, you don't have to do emotional backflips when someone else starts telling you how you SHOULD feel about yourself.

You doing OK?

And very insightful, if I may say so.

I think I started to learn this very thing in my counseling group. They would tell me how I should feel, and what I should do. And a lot of the time, I felt just the opposite. But I stuck to my guns, and it felt really good to stand up for my own feelings.....

If only I had known that earlier on

I'm doing OK - thanks for asking. Up and down, but plodding on through. I had a realization last night that letting my H go is the only real way that I can help him heal. It's still very painful, but I love him and want him to find happiness - as I want to find happiness.

So I suppose I'm just embracing the pain and trying to learn from it.

I truly hope your W is able to find her way out of depression, and into a life where the two of you can live your dreams Call me a romantic, but hey......life is meant to be lived! Why not make the best of it!
