Do I go with the convertable mustang with the leather interior, and the slut red color?
I will go out on a limb and say I look DAMN fine in the mustang even tho it's a Ford....but you all know my affinity for trucks..........

Niosgirl,
There's nothing "hotter" than a woman driving a pickup truck!!!
Oh, and one more thing.... pickup trucks are much better for towing a bass boat than a Mustang!

Niosgirl:
My vote is also a Ford, which is pretty odd for me, having grown up a Dodge and wind-cooled VW man. At least it's "pre-war".
Get yourself a nicely restored 1929 Model A Ford Express Truck, just like the one that John Walton Sr. drove in "The Waltons."
You'd be hotter than... ...well, you'd be just Oh So HOT in one of them!

RITF - I've already got 1 truck...and yes, it's HOT....I'm sick and damn tired of the "mommobile" on the days I don't drive the truck. It's a coolness vacuum....I get in the damn thing, and every iota of coolness I have (and I've got a plethora of coolness) is sucked out and doled out to anyone else that ISN'T in a minivan.

I didn't know you already had a truck! That simplifies things a bit... Get the Mustang!

Well quite frankly Kimmy, putting it the way you did, I can't imagine you in anything but.
Now I wish you all would quit being so much fun, I am supposed to be on the wagon from MB for the next two months. So far I have fallen off once every hour!

Aw, get the Mustang if it makes you happy!
I adore my '04 Mustang, tho it's a sedate charcoal gray .
As long as you also own a vehicle that can accomodate the whole family, it's FUN to have a sporty car. My H has a 4-dr. Toyota PreRunner truck, but we almost always take my car when going out...he loves to drive it, too!

My 17 yo son wanted me to get a BRIGHT yellow one, but I thought the gray was probably more, uhmmm, "appropriate" for me.

Whatever Lori . I'll be 37 in December....and I'm going for the slut red one..... We're only as old as we can lie and get away with, right? Personally, I'm staying 29 a few more years.
I have a theory about those bright yellow ones....that's the color that's "on sale" (snort). Seriously, my '72 Superbeetle was that smiley faced yellow. I was pg with ds#1 when I drove it. I had a swimsuit the exact same color. Ex said the car and I matched (what with me being so round and yellow and all). LMAO!

IP here, chiming in form the freezing East Coast:
good choice NOT to get that "scream-yellow" Mustang!!! : On our last visit to L.A. they had two Mustangs parked in the rental car lot: an elegant white one and this horrendous yellow thing. Made sure the guy behind the counter noticed my -ehh- preferences...
White is a good color for a Mustang, though red is best...IMHO.
BTW: I have a convertible too, different brand, one of those German ones with the little horsey on the hood . I got it with HEATED SEATS. Absolutely essential if you want to enjoy your convertible on cooler days. There's nothing better than driving with the top down on a 50 degree fall morning through New York...ahhh almost nothing better
Make sure you read the Consumer Reports pages on how to negotiate for a new car. Those car sales people are SHARKS, but you can beat them. Comparison shop over the phone. Got me the lowest prices possible on two cars.

My dearest IP - I live at the coast of Texas. Heated leather seats is nothing if not redundant.
ROTFLMAO!!!!

Totally dig the new Cobras.
Actually, I'm buying used. For one I want to trick the puppy out myself (really - I've already got some engine upgrades I want to make to it, and some idears on paint - I'm an avid fan of Overhaulin, Trucks and Pimp My Ride) and for two we're payin' a nice down payment so our monthlys will be next to nuttin. Both the pickup and the 'stang are 01's.

Guess you won't need the heated seats over there...

Not to rub it in, IP, but it's in the 70s here today. Perfect to have the top down, eh?
