This morning on the radio they did a dial in for people to fess up their "guilty pleasures." What's yours? What can you not give up - it can be anything from fluffenutters to you secretly listening to Donnie and Marie albums (one lady that called in said she goes out to the garage and putters in order to listen to them on her turntable - there are some sick puppies out there...).

For me, there are many: I'm a glam/nerd. I'm very girly, have a collection of Barbies (go figure), but LOVE all things comic-y - dh has HIS comic collection - but guess what??? I've got my own! Yep. And I began collecting BEFORE meeting him...like, years before.

I'm addicted to Smallville and Enterprise (and formally Farscape...sniff...but it's off the air) on TV...but secretly, when dh isn't home, I watch QVC. Shhhhhh. Don't tell. If he walks in while it's on, I make a dash for the remote, all flustered and stuff, change the channel while saying, "How'd THAT get on there. Must've been one of the kids playing with the remote...." Never bought a thing, but dreamt of it.

Oh, and most current food fetish....must take a zantec now before reading, just the reading of it will eat a hole in your tummy....movie theatre sized pickles and Nerds or SweetTarts. Ouch.

my 4 guilty pleasures ?

1. I like reading the best kids books. I Do it pretending to vet them for my kids.
2. I like to be touched by stuff so much that it makes me tear up. Nobility, bravery, tragedy.
3. I like to see my reflection driving my little speedster past large shop windows
4. I play air guitar and sing to rock music very loudly when no-one's around

Corn nuts. I have a secret corn nut fetish. They come in the nummiest of flavors...Ranch, bbq...chipolte.....(sigh....making the ummmmmmmm noise)

SHHHHHH. Don't tell. Dr. Atkins would roll over in his grave.

I'm also uber picky about my beer. It must come in a bottle, and it MUST have a ram or goat on the label. It also must smell vaguely skunky. If all the yeasties in it stand up, wave at the crowd, then turn around to slap me as I take the first sip, all the better.

Oh. And it must be cold. If it's got ice crystals in it when you take the top off, it's just cold enough. Would that 7-11 (even tho we don't have them down here) would put beer in their Slurpee machines the world would be a better place, imo.

Dwh thinks I'm too picky to live.

Circus peanuts, Cheetos, and Twinkies.

I like movies that make me cry. Sh!

I like really bad sitcoms. You know all those terrible shows where some knucklehead guy has a beautiful, smart, tolerant wife? Aw yeah, if I'm flipping around and I see Jim Belushi, I know it's time to enjoy some bad writing. Wheeeee!

KY - one of my students was on American Idol last year. (Just thought I'd mention it)

I love coloring books and crayolas. When I grow up I'm going to buy some and color again.

I adore puppies and kittens and baby pigs and chickens.

I adore just sitting by a lake or ocean and watching water ripple or waves coming in. But I feel guilty because I am "wasting" time.

Had a baby pig when I was 3 or 4. Baby pigs grow up to be mean old momma pigs.

She said that Kelly is by far a better singer/performer live in person than the other winners (Rubin and Fantasia). She said a make-up assistant was assigned to wipe the sweat off Rubin's head every minute or so... poor guy.

But want to know what my girl-child raved about incessantly?

One of the top 12 contestants from last season "JPL" was in the audience .... "He's soooo cute mommie!"

Love having a silly daughter.

Me too Starz!

And like Bob, I love pretending I'm a rock star when I work out on my Tony Little Gazelle. I play AC/DC, Aerosmith full blast, close my eyes and pretend I am Steven Tyler

And I love babies, LOVE them. Even the baby dolls, like the little Berenguer re-born I ordered for DD for Chistmas. I saved all of Paiges beautiful baby clothes and dress the baby dolls up in them.

The tv show Cops. Especially when they are here in So. Cal., out in the inland empire

Lord of the Rings trilogy

Cheetos puffs

In and Out french fries

Dog shows, especially Westminster's show in February.

In and Out Burgers is a great restaurant chain that has the absolute best french fries! I know they are here in California and I think in some other states here in the west.

Yup, dog shows are the best! There's one on TV on Thanksgiving and I plan on watching it. It's great to see all the different dogs out there.

Don't take this wrong... ...but in another life, were we 'soulmates' or somethin'? (don't worry, I was probably female at the time!):

"I'm also uber picky about my beer. It must come in a bottle, and it MUST have a ram or goat on the label."

Here's my favorite in all the universe:

http://www.rubymountainbrewing.com/beer.html

...and there's a mountain goat on EVERY label!!!

Do you ever see it down there in Baja Oklahoma?

(((Settle down ST)))

Never heard of Ruby Mountain...but then, if I go any further south, I'll be in the Gulf....and my town is super small (I can request it at HEB - they'll try to sell anything at least once). Gotta love the town motto, it's plastered on every other bumper sticker:

A quaint little drinking village with a fishing problem.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I KNEW there was a thread I needed to check on...just couldn't remember which one! Damned birthdays keep making me older........'nother one in Dec. I wonder what I'll forget next?!?

PS - They MADE me drive thru Shiner, Tx on my way to and from picking up ds for the holiday. The roads outside Cuero on the way to Gonzales were flooded out, so had to make the trip. As I passed by the Shiner Brewery, a ray of sunshine broke through the clouds down upon the bright, copper kettles in the windows. It was like, like, God smiling down upon the earth....

Beautiful sight....just gorgeous.

If you get the chance 2 try them, I'd put them in this order of favorites:

♣ Angel Creek Amber Ale
♠ Bristlecone Brown Porter
♥ Vienna-Style Lager
♣ Wild West Hefeweizen

I'm partial 2 ales and porters, though. I tend 2 like weat beers better than lagers, 2. Don't like most lagers, but theirs is very good. Even memorable.

It's important
