Still no baby!!! I went to my doc appointment today and he said I am 100% effaced and finally 1 1/2 dilated. I told him I still think it will be a Thanksgiving baby. He said that it just may happen.
If no baby by Monday I go back to the doc and we discuss being induced. I have been busy with my mom getting everything ready today. At least it keeps my mind off of things. Don't have time to think about WH.
So any predictions from you guys when the day might be????

Are we gonna do a baby pool here? OK, I'm in.
I'm going to go with the Thanksgiving Day baby at about, oh, 11:30 a.m.!! Gets you out of cleaning dishes!
Glad your spirits are up SML. Feeling that nesting instinct, are you?

How about Monday, November 29th? That's when I'm hoping to go. It would be 2 weeks early but then we would be home and recovered enough to really enjoy Christmas with the babies!

Ok Sad,
I am going to have to go with tomorrow, 11/24/04, my older sisters birthday.
I'll say at 11:45 P.M. since that is the time my own DD was born!
Oh how terribly exciting...a BABY!

I think I have had the nesting instinct for a month now. I am hoping it's before Thanksgiving Day but I think it's going to be on Thanksgiving. I have had this feeling eversince I found out my due date. So I will stick with that day.
I can't believe they are going to let you go two weeks early Kloe. Lucky you. They seem to want me to go into labor by myself if possible. We may just have our babies closer together than we thought.
I do feel better today. Guess my mind has been on the baby not WH. Even though I still miss him much and wish he would be here with me. But I cannot force him to do anything he doesn't want to do.

I predict the day after Thanksgiving. I was in your same position and didn't know whether to plan on cooking for Turkey day or not. I decided to buy stuff and do it. The baby was due on 11/25 and was not born until 12/9.
Have you come up with any names yet?

My mom is suppose to cook Thanksgiving dinner. Her plan is to go ahead with Thanksgiving Dinner. But if I go into labor we will postpone it until Sat or Sun.
They say they are 85% sure it's a girl. So the name we picked out is Chloe Grace. If it turns out to be a boy. Which I will be making alot of trips returning pink stuff, ;)the name will be Tyler Bruce.

Ok, you're having a girl...so she will interupt your plans. She will come sometime tomorrow night, maybe 9:41 PM.
My daughter Keeley is 18, believe me...daughters are all about messing up your schedule

Hmmm -
Chloe Grace sounds great to me. I hope it is a girl. I have 2 boys, and always wanted a girl. I was blessed with 5 girls when I married my husband. There is nothing like a girl.

That would be weird SS having our kids on the same day!!
I am excited but scared... I hope this time it's a easy labor. Last time was not a labor I would like to remember.
But I am hoping tomorrow will be the day. Course going out with my mom for some last minute Thanksgiving stuff. She thinks it will be terrible if my water breaks while we are walking around in the stores... I was really hoping to go shopping on Black Friday though...

I don't think I've ever posted to you, but I'd hate to miss out on a baby pool!
Okay, I'm with the Thanksgiving Day people. I say late afternoon/early evening.
My dad was born on Thanksgiving MANY years ago (and in fact is celebrating his 78th b-day this Thanksgiving day). I still remember grandma telling the story of how she thought she'd just eaten too much Thanksgiving dinner (he was her first), and then realizing too late she was in labor. She said the doctor didn't make it to their house in time and he sort of just "popped out".
So I'd say go light on the eating that day. Food in your stomach and labor don't always mix well.
But enjoy these next few days. Enjoy the relative quiet. Get lots of sleep. Things will change really soon!

You wont be able to put it off. Going to go into labor as everyone is sitting down to eat.
I have an uncle that was born on Christmas day and thats exactly what happened with him.

I wouldn't even begin to guess when your baby will arrive. Our daughter "dropped" six weeks before she was born, and I spent those six weeks being told by the doctor that I could go anytime. I was miserable. I carried her "low", and after she "dropped", I couldn't even stand up straight or sit up 'cuz it hurt my bladder. The doctor didn't induce labor unless you went over two weeks overdue. Well, DD was born 11 days after her due date (I suspect if I hadn't drunk castor oil, I would still be carrying her!). She's just like her dad...gonna do what she wants to do and when she wants to do it!
I knew a lady who was in the grocery store with her sister when her water broke. She happened to be standing next to the pickles, so she picked up a jar of pickles and droppped it onto the floor. Of course, her sister blabbed.
Good luck to you! My favorite times were when I had a sweet little one to hold and cuddle. Then again, I'm glad I don't have the teenage years to live through again! LC LC

Hi SML:
it will be soon...you are changing your cervix and beginning to have contractions.
All the best to you SML...I saw 7 babies born today. I love my job!!! Imagine, they PAY me to take care of those beautiful soft newborns. I am so glad I chose to become a baby doctor.
Rest assured that everything will be fine. There are a lot of experienced nurses and doctors around to help you. Is your mom coming to the hospital with you? Will she be with you through labor? Remember child birth is a natural process...woman have been giving birth for thousands of years. All the technology in the hospital is just a safety net to catch you or baby when there is a rare complication.
I am thinking of you and wishing I could be there to greet your little girl. Hugs

SML - Don't even think about going to the hospital until you have notified us that you are in labor. Then we won't have to worry about you.
