Got an e-mail sent to me very early this morning. I don't know who it is from and wonder if it c/b from a very foggy WS since it makes no sense.

Anyone familar with a website or e-mail server by the name of: marquisbeverage.com? About a 1/2 hour prior to that I received an undeliverable e-mail that 'was delivered'..... go figure. Looks like some guy named Sebastian L. I am not the one who sent the e-mail. C/b spam? Another WS? Crazy people who can't sleep?

Here's what was in the e-mail from this person or persons from marquisbeverage.com

Entitled: Hello, hello whose your lady friend?

Hi there!
Chance fights ever on the side of the prudent.
The average man's judgment is so poor, he runs a risk every time he uses it.
In a dark time, the eye begins to see.

Two persons cannot long be friends if they cannot forgive each other's little failings.

Do more than you're supposed to do and you can have or be or do anything you want.

The real secret of happiness is not what you have or what you receive it's what you share

If you don't run your own life, somebody else will.

I don't want to own anything that won't fit into my coffin.
To fall in love is to create a religion that has a fallible god.
It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed. In this life we get nothing save by effort.
A poor man who eats too much, as contradistinguished from a gourmand, who is a rich man who ''lives well.'' The whole life of an American is passed like a game of chance, a revolutionary crisis, or a battle.
I have learnt to love you late, Beauty at once so ancient and so new!
It's sad that, in our blindness we gather thorns for flowers:

My father always used to say that when you die, if you've got five real friends, then you've had a great life.
Life in abundance comes only through great love.
Insanity is doing the same thing in the same way and expecting a different outcome.

I've learned that something constructive comes from every defeat. The richer your friends, the more they will cost you. One of the most valuable things we can do to heal one another is listen to each other's stories. No one hates his job so heartily as a farmer.
Take not from the mouth of labor the bread it as earned.

Now I ask, what am I suppose to be missing here?

I have the IP address and wonder if anyone can help me identify where it originated from? You know us BS and Xbs can be a suspicious group. For good reason.

Orchid,

Could be a virus attached to it ....

worst ... who else know your password ?. Could it be that person forgot to change email addy before sending it on his own ?

If you use outlook, you could see the header and try to guess who send it.

Hi RH,

Not sure what is going on. Just found it this afternoon.

Could be the first instead of the later but the title is what stumped me. The contents does not match the title and the other e-mail also seems odd.

Where can I go to check out the IP address locations?

I receive e mails similar to this all the time. It is frequently identified by my virus protection software as containing a virus. I suggest that you get some good anti virus detecting software (some of it is free) and let it screen your e mails. Mine is symantec and Norton also has good ones.

It is typical to receive this pompous sounding falsely philosophical garbage. I delete everything I receive unless I personally know the sender. When I first hooked up with the antivirus software it located hundreds of files and things that needed to be deleted. It sure helped my machine run better.

I say beware. And delete.

Delete, delete, delete my dear Orchid.

I had a look in my spam-mailbox.
There are even spam/virus e-mails circulating with subjects like
"I really enjoyed you last night"
"Attached are the pics from our day at the beach"
"Still remember me?"
"... (my name, taken from my e-mail address), why can't you call me back?"
"Don't ignore your girlfriend!"
"....(my name), why did you say that?"
etc. etc.

So don't let that rattle your chain!
Sometimes the sender's e-mail address obviously is generated automatically with a lot of numbers and letters in it (18lkjlkj199@KJLKG.com for example). But sometimes it seems to be a very normal e-mail.

That is highly odd.

Sounds like the sort of stuff random drunk nutters come out with in the pub.

Seems like a spam, tho.

These are often used to deliver mail that is used to check and see if your address is real. One of the tools used is a one pixel graphic that can report back if the mail was viewed. You probably wouldn't even be able to see it.

Other posters mentioned virus activity - but I am sure you would use anti virus software. If not, please install some - wiki, wiki.

Anyway, If your virus software is up to date, you are probably OK - and you can delete it and not worry to much.

Hope you are doing well other wise. My son was in the islands a few weeks ago. I should have had him call you.

All the best - to someone that deserves it.

I don't know. It looks Hawaiian but with an Asian accent. LOL!!! U know what that could mean.

With the subject line and that quip comment at the bottom, also reading it when I was tired....maybe the combination made me paranoid.

Right now I have no clue but I will survive!

Sounds like the deep thoughts that come out of college dorms late at night after too much fun (oh, the days...)

Aroha nui? There are no R's in Hawaiian.

At least it didn't start with "Dear Sir or Madame"

jmh,

I know there are no Rrrr's in Hawaiian, that's what puzzled me and of course the subject line. Anyway, I'll let it go. Got the input I needed. Can't fix it stance so I will let it drop. If it is the nutty PBR, she will expose herself again. She just can't help it. LOL!!!
