Ok MB Buddies....my H thinks I'm off my rocker when it comes to controlling the temp in the house. So I want to know what everyone else keeps their household thermostate at.

For our house (I control it)

Winter: 70 (wouldn't mind it getting cold at night, so long as it heated to 70 or 72 before I get out of bed)
Summer: 72

What does every other household do? SHARE!!

Texas as well,

75 during the summer, and usually 72-73 winter, although winter lasts what? Two weeks here?

I'll take 70 all year round, and 65 at night, regardless of what it is outside. I live for A/C in the summer and love my gas heat as soon as it cools down. BUT...hubby would like it to be 60 all the time. When he turns it down, I just bake cookies. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

72 in the summer and 73 in the winter works well in this Texas home. But heck, I had the a/c on last week!

I'm in Florida...and having to conserve $$ a bit...

In the summer, during day whether I'm home or not, about 77-78 during the day. If I've got to do stuff around the house like vacumming or heavy cleaning, i'll turn it down a bit, but only by one or two degrees. At night I put it down to about 74-75.

(for a two bed-apt, my elec bill is still pretty high, even being conservative)

For heat..haven't done a winter here, but I doubt I'll put it over 68 during the day. Maybe 65 at night. I grew up in New England so I'm used to sleeping with comforters and a house much warmer than that in the winter seems a bit stuffy.

I know, how can i have my AC so high (low?) in the summer...but heat from the weather is a LOT different than heat from a heater.

Anyway, sometimes I'll use a space heater, but not very often.

Growing up, our heat was at 62 at night, 65 during day and 68 in evenings. I'm used to a cool house in the winter.

I've been keeping it at 65 now; however, I'm probably not the best one to ask since I always seem to be hot right now due to the baby. When ever WH comes over he complains how cold it is, he even bought the baby a heater this week. I think he's afraid I'll freeze the poor thing!
