I'm in one day at a time mode. Sunday was a big turning point for us. WH's fog is lifting. Sometimes, it's funny. We get home milk delivery on Tuesdays and Fridays. Yesterday, Monday, at breakfast WH said we were out of milk. With a teenager in the house, that often happens. However, towards dinner, I took an empty jug out to the box on the porch for pickup. Surprise, surprise, inside was Friday's milk. WH had abandoned us for OW from Thursday-Saturday last week. For me, bringing in the milk hadn't even been on my radar. WH said, "What's the milk doing there? I brought it in." Well, yeah, most delivery days he does but HE WASN'T HERE! It's like that little detail completely slipped his mind.

Does this happen to other people too? Do WS just block it out of their minds? Where are their stupid minds?

BTW: Day 2 of recovery was successful and the milk, thanks to our cold weather was still good.

Dear Carol,

Where are their stupid minds?

Evidently not on their heads correctly. LOL!!!

I remember when the Ws came home, he forgot a lot of stuff. He even got mad at himself for forgetting. When I would repeat stuff (both A and non A items), he would get angry and try to tell me I was wrong. I would gently remind him that he is the one whose brain keeps forgetting. So he cut waay back on berating me.

In fact, he asked me why was I able to recall the A stuff with such detail. I told him his A plagued me with an almost photographic memory and unfortunately the A stuff is still embedded in my head. Then I went on to say that now it was his job to get those horrible images out of my head.

L.
