For those of you looking to drop a few extra pounds after this wonderful Holiday. Try the diet I'm on..Has my Doctor not only alarmed but calling me at home..So I guess it works..
Smoke three packs of cigs a day
Drink five to six pots of coffee
Sleep only three hours a day
work 10 hour shifts
Fight for your marriage
and in less then 60 days you to can lose 40 pounds and drop down to a healthy 116 pounds...
Also add a new prescription of Paxil 20mgs that your doc wants you to take because he see's your falling apart...
And lets not forget the most important part of this Diet
Plenty of hate from your ww and lots of I can never love you again or better yet my favorite.." I never loved you" this one helps me drop pound after pound...
Well I wish you all the best of luck.......

All the BS are on that diet, dude!
I did the typical 30 pounds in 30 days. And the best part - I've kept it off!
I've aged several years, I reckon. The furrow in my brow seems to be permanent, and my hair is turning gray. I look damned distinguished!

Worked for 45 pounds so far for me.
When you sort of plateau, but still need to lose a few more pounds...
Have her initiate NC, come home, tell you how much she loves you and wants your M...but show absolutely zero affection toward you and SF...well that's just out of the question....
That will really make the final pounds drop off (at least I hope so, something good needs to come of this)

LOL, thanks for this thread too. LOL
I am down 50 pounds from my peak weight. Not sure what I weighed on D-Day though....at least 25 of the 50 pounds gone since then.
I keep loosing it and WW has put just a few back on...she keeps giving me the eye (but what a pretty eye it is). LOL

FEED THE BS's or Won't you help feed these poor souls or my favorite " Just a few pennies a day will keep them in therapy"
any other cathy phrases?
BRB have to get my third pot of coffee going..lets shed those pounds.

My weight remained fairly constant as I shook my fist in defiance of my autonomic nervous system.
I had two children..so the concept of eating through nausea was not foreign to me, and I adopted the same tactics.
What worked for me? Things that are cold..and that can be eaten one bite at a time through the day. Soup is too much committment. I made a big bowl of tuna salad and kept the crackers handy. Then I'd just have a few every couple of hours. Sliced up fruit. Cheese. Things that are densely caloried. Cheesecake ain't bad either . For some reason Coke was really refreshing too..and I don't usually like it all that much..but I didn't argue, go with what works [shrugs].
As for the sleep deprivation? It sucks. Staring bug eyed at the ceiling while exhausted is no ones idea of a good time..but it will pass, you just have to know that it will. Sooner or later, the body will sleep..just have a little faith in your ability to shut down before reaching critical mass. Besides..who among us hasn't idly wondered if going on a native american styled spirit walk could produce some interesting hallucinations, erm..I mean insight
Just because you feel like you are dying doesn't mean that you actually are, it will be ok eventually.

ditto the diet
Mike - take comfort that you are not alone. Similar to the others, I went from 145 lbs. to 120 in a few weeks. Was able to fit into some old bluejeans!
Know what? Also similar to the others, you will not only survive, you will thrive!

I too lost 40# in three months. I have started to put some of the weight back on , so I am making time for myself again to walk, I go in the morning b4 work to try to stable that. The doctor said it has something to do with my health, that my body is fighting it off my C.C. and therefore by body is retaining to fight it. At least that is what my doc says. As I am not eating more, and what I do eat is typically Spinich salad.. However who ever said something good has to come from this, that is SO TRUE!! I certainly made my WH's head turn!!! And a few others, and that made WH so jealous. Sweet reward there!

I'm at 15 lbs off. Before the A started or perhaps during it, while my husband was gone, I went on a diet and lost 8 lbs. In the 3 weeks since, it's been another 7. I seem to live mostly on fluids, coffee, tea and red wine. I'm big on carbs. The ole comfort foods of potatoes and bread. I eat because I know I need to keep up my strength for my kids. I exercise because I feel so good afterwards. WH hasn't noticed one pound is gone.
Too bad because I feel a lot better!

Ok, I don't know about all of you but the one thing i'm tired of seeing on the BS Diet menu is "BULLSHI*" that the ws is always throwing on are plates. It's not the kind of staple I need in my diet right now..
Mschluter<------ On fourth pot of coffee and going on 2nd pack of smokes and has been up going on 36 hours, and has had half a jelly sandwich with a, you guessed it " cup of coffee"

Michael you are gearing up for an ulcer and bad kidneys. Try to eat buddy, replaceing food and attention with coffee and ciggarettes is only going to eat away at your stomach lining and reak havic on your body. Trust me I did the same thing (minus the 3 packs a day). Please at least try to eat something other then Bull [censored].

Michael, poor nutrition will affect your state of mind. All kidding aside, get into the habit of making sure to get some nutrition, no matter how sucky you feel. How about taking a daily vitamin and switching to tea? That coffee is effing up your body's natural rhythms and affecting your sleep even after the caffeine has run its course in your bloodstream. Tea has much less caffeine.
The smoking we'll talk about later.
Oh, and exercise. During some of my darker episodes, I drag myself to the Y and swim until I'm exhausted. The effect is incredible. Your body produces its own anti-depressants when you work out. Plus it's good for you and if done regularly will begin to make your wife think you're hot.
Don't use this time as an excuse to treat yourself like crap. Use it as a motivation to treat yourself right, and stop guzzling all that poison, got it?

I use to look good when I had my weight on, and your right..
Maybe I will talk with a buddy who works out at a local gym and see if he can get me a good deal and maybe work out with him..
I have been wanting to quit smoking for sometime. Thats a tough one but one that my kids would love to see me accomplish.

Michael, What you need to do is have a Survival Dinner. You need to celebrate the fact that you are alive, relatively healthy and who you are. Get some friends together and have dinner someplace. Go to McDonald's for a Big Mac frenzy. Go to a restaurant you use to really love or try something completely new. You can't change the actions of WW. In the end, you have to live for YOU. If she's a part of the package, great. Move through the grief. If you see Bulls**t on the menu, you don't have to order it. I have a bottle of really nice champagne in my fridge. Some day soon, when I feel like I have a little more piece of mind, I'm opening it up. I feel better if I have a sense of control, like things are spinning around wildly. Every day, I see that bottle and know that some day I'm going to be celebrating something. It might be the rebirth of my marriage or a new life.
Come out of the tunnel. Good luck!

I think I'm close to 50lbs.
Wife got mad, as she worked out to lose weight to look good for OM all summer!
I teased her a while ago when she commented: "Yeah, If I could bottle this stuff I'd be rich."
With all the side effects, FDA wouldn't allow it on the market. Hair loss, depression, lose of appetite, feelings of suicide. Side effect vary. But there are always side effects!
Pretty risky diet. Right up there with Phen-Phen and Ephedra!
