my fww seems to make recovery in major breakthrough phases rather than gradual improvement. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar.

When she ended the A, it was sudden. Of course I had exposed to OMW, but it was my W who ended it when she found out he had multiple A's and she was used. Told me she hated me for the exposure and wanted an immediate divorce..went to confront OM about the things I told her, came home a couple hours later and told me it was over and if I would have her she wanted to spend the rest of her life with me.

It's been about three weeks since then and we have been doing really great except that she couldn't show me any affection at all and was totally opposed to MC.

Sunday evening, she came over to me on the couch and she has been showing me affection like we were newlyweds ever since, told me when she left for work this morning that she was looking forward to our first MC session tonight.

Seems to come all at once or not at all with her. I was just wondering if anyone else had seen their ws behave this way rather than things coming back gradually...

Hi HH!

Your post caught my eye so I thought I'd throw in my .02.

It seems that my FWH went through a combination of both gradual and overnight changes.

Although FWH immediately stopped the A and issued NC on d-day, he continued to lie for the next three months, struggled through MC and IC for a few more but then had like an overnight major 'breakthrough' in 2/04. I posted similar questions as you have...can changes (seem) to happen overnight?

My FWH's 1st breakthrough came much farther on down the road than your W's but it's probably because FWH was finally seeking help for his alcoholism.

I have noticed a combination of overnight breakthrough's as well as gradual changes throughout our recovery.

Hope that helps.

Take care.

sss
