House of sand and fog..

I've heard good things about this movie..so last night I decided to watch..and was impressed..right up until a sleazy affair was presented as a love story..and shown in graphic detail, at which point I had weird sensations running through and all over my body not the least of which was a strong urge to throw up [first time I have been affected that badly by TV for crying out loud..but the scene was very, very graphic ] and I had to quit watching after that.

So I don't know what happened, never will probably, and am very glad I didn't go to a theater to see it.

Too bad

Yeah, you never notice until you are in this situation how many of the shows on tv, movies, etc deal with the topic, most very poorly.

I think I will know I am fully recovered when seeing crap like that on tv no longer triggers memories of my fww's A.

i saw it awhile ago and posted about it---you'd think three years into this i would have had a clue for a movie with FOG right in the title....but no, like you, i watched it. yuck! the whole movie is formed from that affair and the outreach of its destruction. it was like watching a train wreck...

I even had to stop watching Pretty Woman, for heaven's sake... And a classic like Doctor Zhivago will never be the same to me, either.

It's better now, though. If an A pops up, or if it's obvious that a man/woman is tempted to have one, I mumble "idiot" and my H does get the message...

But any graphic scenes of people in a A WILL turn me, and the tv, OFF !!

Yep, another story with a BS who is not a character, who is barely mentioned.

I was at the library, looking at audio books, and I was shocked at how many stories there were about women escaping from their awful husbands and compromised lives by having affairs and scooting off to la-la land. Most of them written by women.

When you know something from experience, it really helps you separate the good writers from the big fakers.
