Hey all. I was talking to H tonite about his A and asked him (silly question) why he refused my request to get rid of OW when i first demanded it. I mean my H and I were so close and i know he loves me more than anything. His response? "Because i was scared to death that you would leave me for good after i got rid of her". I kinda laughed at that. I said thats the dumbest thing i've ever heard you know how much i love you. he said call it dumb if you want but thats the way i felt. Has anyone else ever heard anything like that?

Yep and add to that this line:

BS: So tell me again, why you had the A?

WS: I did it before you had one on me.

BS: <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> (speechless)

That's a real life experience. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />

I just asked cause it seemed so silly to me. It never ceases to amaze me how much they all do and say the same things. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

I agree. What's more it doesn't stop. The babble that spews out is just mind boggling. LOL!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

The BS needs to be prepared for such babble and when they are, they can reply back in a way that will try and knock some sense into that fog brain.

I stopped trying to reason with the Ws. Instead I found that 'doubt' was a better ally. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> Yep, reverse babble worked for me. Being able to use their own words back to them just emphasized to the WS and reassured to me how stupid his words were.

That 'A' university grades the WS and OP on their lack of logic. Graduates them on how well the get others to buy into their fog.

me " Why do you continue to contact him 'in secret' even though I busted your affair phone, have all your online statements and have your every contact confirmed by OM GF?"

Squid " I want to keep in touch with him as a friend, and I have hopes that you and OM will become friends too. You'd LIKE him if you bothered to get to know him".

I had no words for that....

YEA MY WIFE USED THOSE EXACT WORDS TO ME BEFORE HER EA TURNED INTO A PA!!!

It's like they all go to a class about how to talk to a BS after an A or something!!!

I tell you shelly, on such evidence a veterinarian would euthenase a horse as crazy as my FWW out of pity.

Anyone who doubts FOG should hear our formerly intelligent spouses first hand spout this drivel.

The bits of babble I have read back to Squid have confused and embarrassed her since.

It had the same effect on me first time around ! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

I´m glad this topic has re-surfaced.I brought it up a yesterday too because I think it is very important for BS to know that the fog exists, although lemonman is not convinced. It really changes the way you act after dday which probably makes or breaks a marriage. I don´t think that enough emphasis is put on the existance of the fog,for new BS.
I still don´t have much idea of how long it lasts, what can shorten the period of fog (I know exposure is one but it doesn´t always work) etc. It is interesting though to read WS posts about the fog period.

cc,

This is just the 'tip' of the fog. The reason why it is described so here is because there really isn't any other human description that c/b given.

A lost soul babbles endlessly and makes wild accusations, rewrites history, invents fake friendships which they call soulmates, willing to forsake all their good qualities for moments of illicit acts, can't control their mouth, temper, willingly abandon their families, leave their families homeless, incur debit like it's a fad, etc........

The fog. Plain and simple. Sad but true.
