On Christmas Eve my husband said that he wanted some only time with me. After the kids went to bed we sat in front of the fire and tree and he said he had a gift for me. He said to sit there and left the room.

He came back with a huge box and told me to open it. Inside was another box and then another. At this point I started crying and said I was scared to continue. He told me he loved me and to go ahead. Insid the next box was 4 small bottles of wine and two glasses. There was also 1 small box. As I opend the box he took it from my hand.

Inside were new wedding bands. He slipped min on my finger, told me he was in love with me and asked me to marry him. As I cried I was scared to answer him. I asked him what the rings meant to him.

He went on to explain that he searched for new bands but could not find what he wanted. He stumbled across a jeweler that made rings. He told the jeweler what he wanted and he made them. They are wide gold bands with dolphins all the way around making a circle. The circle of dolphins connects us never to be broken. They are beautiful. He wanted them to be special and alike. I love them. After that story the answer to his question was YES!!

This was a huge DEPOSIT!!! The first time we were married I was pregnant. We had always said we were going to get married but he had never asked me. We went through the motions and went to South Carolina and got married at the Justice of the Peace. My 5 year old son went with us. We did not make love that night. I hated it.

So anyway that was why it was so important to me that he asked me to marry him. He said he wanted to have the rings blessed and renew or vows. He wants the preacher to do it (he is also my husbands best friend) on New Years Eve. He says it is a new beginning.

I think he is doing something special. It might be a gift or a room for the night or something I do not know. My question for FWH's is this -

WHAT COULD YOU BW DO FOR YOU THAT WOULD MAKE THIS EVENT SPECIAL?

I would love to do something for my FWH to let him know I am ready to move on. I really want it to be special!! Any ideas? This is not going to be a big event. Just FWH, myself and our son at the preachers/best friends home.

Sorry the post is so long but I felt you had to hear the whole story to underestand how impotant this is. It is HUGE!!!

I really need some help on this one. My husband has worked so hard to show his love for me. He really is sorry and wants to make this work.

Please help. I want to do something special for him.
