sounds so much like the Aust Defence forces...very British in traditions and vey much old boys network.
The ONLY rules we seem to enforce is having relationships between junior and senior and then if its in the open & the CO is notified then they turn a blind eye. IF however in the same unit they will move one, usually the woman, because they really dont want the women there amyway, but even then only if its become 'public' where they cant claim we didn't know.
I figure it would be much the same with Canadian navy. They will do something IF they have too & its public.
As well as newspapers and TV aren't there any big loud religious family first pollies you could complain to as well........ they hate being discussed in parliament except for thankyous and awards...
