WW is taking a day off from work tomorrow to help OM get his kids in school. She couldn't take any time off work for DD to go to a doctor's appointment, yet missing work for OM's kids is no problem

Now she tells our kids that she is going to call them out of class to be able to meet these new kids & show them around school. I'm so mad I can just chew through iron bars right now.

I will be calling the schools in the morning and informing them of what she intends to do, and telling them I DO NOT approve of her taking them out of class to velidate her adulterous affair.

Thoughts?

you may want to consider keeping your children home...

There JOB is not to be ambassador to OM's children...

all of these children are being forced to play parts in the masquarade that their actions op ws..... don't hurt...

it is really sad....and twisted......

Well, I took DS to school this morning, and then went to pick up DD, and take her to school. but first i swung by WW's apartment to see if I could notice OM's vehicle. There it was, a small U-Haul truck with his car on the trailer, no lights were on in the apartment, so I guess sleeping in was their plan.

I took DD out to B-fast, and then drove her to school. I informed both schools of the sitch, and they are being supportive (up to the legal limit). They cannot stop her from signing out the kids, but they can call me, and once I have the court order, she will be cut off completely from interfering with their education.

Next issue: She told DS that she wants him & Dd to come over for dinner one night this week. Since I know OM is living there, and I might not have the court order yet, what is a good recommendation without creating a huge scene (not that a scene would bother me, but it would the kids)

Thoughts? Say NO! Tell her no way they are going to be around the OM. Again, I do not know the laws there, but in Virginia, brining the kids around the paramour is a HUGE no-no.

Again, how long until your lawyer gets the order? You need to ride him hard to get this done. Express to him what is going on and that he needs to get this emergency order ASAP.

And until then, do what you can. If she wants to argue in court that you denied her visitation with her kids...then you will counter that you denied visitation that included OM and that situaion. In the best interest of the children. And unless the judge is wacked out of his/her mind, they will be none too happy about that.

You have as much right to the kids as her until there is an order. So, utulize that. Keep them busy until you get the order. Take the week off work and make sure you take the kids to school and pick them up. Make sure the school contacts you if she shows up so you can get there and keep them from going with you. Then, when you show up...just tell the kids to get in the car with you...no scenes, no confrontations. Just have them get in and get out of there.

Since they are old enough, I would also let them know what is going on and what to possibly expect if it comes to that. And that you expect them to do as you tell them. They already understand that their Mom has lost her mind...so they will have no problem following you.

But, the best way to protect them is to get that order. Like I said, take the week off and camp out in your lawyer's office. And dont leave without that piece of paper!!

Protect your kids!!

OK well WW did exactly as I thought she would, and the schools called me both times. I could hear her in the background at DS school, she was madder than a wet cat. but I'm not concerned about that, I merely want to protect my kids.

I saw the lawyer today, and filed the petition for D, and the petition for an emergency custody hearing, she will be served with the papers in the next day or so...

Lord, give me the strength to see this thing through, grant me the wisdom to make sound decisions, and give wisdom & guidance to all on this board that are reading & posting.

My next thought was:

Since OM & his kids are not n her lease, and are actually more people than the apartment community allows, should I inform the property management? or is this just a revenge tactic?

First off "Amen" to your prayer for guidance and I did wonder about the apt. managment and the number of people when I first read you post BUT after considering it and you now asking....I doubt that I would take that perfectly reasonable step to make the affair more difficult.

I say this since you are trying to get custody and her staying at a way to small place may be in your favor somehow?!

Hosea,

Let her fail on her own. Good job taking care of your kids btw.

It is whatever legal means neccessary to protect your kids. Just another card to bargain with. Other than that ... let her. It works on you favor.

I would tell her NO on having the kids over for dinner!!!!!
I would be tempted to tell the apartment manager about having too many people in there. I don't know though......I'd have to think about that one!
How do your kids feel about their mom moving in with OM?

Some Apts have rules against boys and girls after a certain age in the same bedroom...there are child protection laws that can hurt the apt complex in some states.
