I don't know yet. The higher picture looks like it's got compression artifacts in it, unless they're small craters. If they're craters, the dark 'stuff' is plains, not liquid. But we'll have 2 see what later releases show.
They should have more than 300 pic2res. The probe 2k something like 2 hours 2 descend on the parachute, and lasted 2 more hours on the surface.
VEry cool! (like 2 or 3oo below zero F!)

Sweet, I love astronomy too....I actually didn't know what "Titan" was (Hey said I loved it, not that I was knowledgable about it LOL) but now know it's a moon of Saturn.....how sweet is that!!!!! I used to have tons of hubble images saved, but then my computer had a meltdown, so they're all gone.....I know I can get 'em back, just haven't done it yet. About the mars meteorite, did they ever prove one way or another if it really did have, I dont remember, was it organisms, or bacteria in it?

Does anyone know anything about the radio channel that failed? One of the scientists from ESA was saying that they didn't get as much imaging imformation (I think) as they hoped, because only one channel worked. I presume that's about Cassini? Does this mean that they got less information about other things, too?
I have a fear that the metallic object on Mars will turn out to be Beagle (missing British Mars lander)...
