I just read your post on the apology. But, before I get into that, I wanted to let you know that you ARE welcome at the pregnancy/child forum and in actuality, there are people there wondering where you went!

Don't think just because you were an OW that you cannot seek support from us. You seem genuinely remorseful. We will not blackball you or negate your feelings or opinions. So, feel free to join us again!

In response to your apology to BW:

If you are happy the way your life is going I would suggest just letting things lie. Do keep in mind, that many children who find out they have a father who has been absent most of their lives will go looking for him. As long as you are open and honest with your son, supportive and understanding things will work out.

As a BW, getting an apology from OW didn't help me much. Because it was pretty clear that it wasn't sincere, and she still hates me. If the can of worms is meant to be opened, I would leave it up to your son to open it. If he needs to see or speak with his father at some point down the line, he will. As long as you support the way he wants to handle it and respect his wishes things will be fine.

You are a mother first and foremost, and if MM hasn't made an effort to contact or bond with your son you don't have to force the issue. And you shouldn't feel guilty about it at all.

Just MHO.

Good Luck.
