OMG i started cleaning house this week and I can't stop...it's addicting...i never knew it could be so good for the soul....now mind you my bedroom was a WRECK...i am not the best housekeeper....I hadn't done much to it because DORK had tossed a whole bunch of stuff in there...I took all of dorks stuff put it in boxes and placed them in an unused closet wo they couldn't be seen then i went through there Like a whirlwind and made it into the loveliest thing i have ever seen....there are still some storage bins int he corner....but I put up the canopy on my bed and made the bed with my nice comforter...and added little finishing touches and even put up some of my themed pictures...I love to be in my room now....but it's not over...no way now I have been addicted t home renovation I've started venturing into other areas.....My house is getting a makeover and it is turning into someplace I don't seen the long lost memories anymore. *takes a deep relaxing breath* Ok I'm off again to my newest addiction. [ January 28, 2005, 04:34 PM: Message edited by: surviving in his wake ]

I love redoing rooms when I am stress out. It relaxes me greatly. A coat of fresh pain, new drapes, something here, something there and there you go. Feeling like new.
My STBXH used to joke that he was canceling TLC channel because I was addicted to Trading Spaces, While you were out and all kinds of decoration/rennovation shows. It got to be scary for him some of the stuff I changed constantly. He would get home from a week out and find something else done. It is funny because now it takes him a while to see what is new. Does not pay attention like before but I still enjoy doing stuff to the house to "relax".
Have fun! Love

I'll meet cha at the airport with all the cleaning/painting supplies!!LMAO I suck at decorating....my WH actually hung my pictures when he was sitting for our DD10...cuz I'd lived here 4 months, and hadn't even hung up one of 'em LMAO. The same day he also bought me a beautiful flowering houseplant....an amaryllis, it's very pretty...yeah, I've got that thing just about dead too...I was just flippin out about it...I don't know how to take care of it.
Have you ever seen that movie "How to lose a guy in 10 days?" where she buys the guy a "love fern" LMAO a fern that represents their relationship....and he just lets it die, LMAO....she takes this dried up plant home...fake crying because he KILLED their love...LOL That's what I feel like...Oh crap...look, I'm killing the love fern LMFAO.

been there, done that -- cleaning great way to release anger/frustration, & to top it off when you're done -- you've got a clean home!!!! But hey, we just bought our first home, a fixer-upper, & I watch HGTV almost constantly. So when your done in Ohio, you can hop right on over to Illinois!!!
