Get tested .... I did as soon as I found out about A. However unfortunately there is no acurate test for HSV/HPV unless you swipe it during the break out. -rh-

Standard precautions I assumed that H was infected until I had good reason to believe otherwise.
H had two complete sets of std tests..including the long Q-tip.
One at 3 mo and a follow up at 6 mo before I would touch him with a ten foot pole.
He slept in the guest room and used a separate bathroom.
His alternative was to find another place to live.
I do not kid around with disease.
Having said that, I do accept that it is not only possible..but probable that he and therefore I have contracted some form of HPV.
Why is this acceptable to me when I am so unyielding in every other aspect?
HPV is so common..so hard to test for..and can lie dormant for such a long period of time that potentially any ] future sex partners may be just as likely to have it and no way to know until it's too late.
I don't like it at all..but unless I seek out only virgins [and as I grow older, this becomes less likely] I am taking my chances no matter what. May as well take them with my husband

Redhat -
My friend's dermatologist told her to stay away from Hot tubs. They are breeding grounds for alot of diseases. Women are prone to UTIs for taking too long baths - imagine what you could get from a hot tub.
I found out about the HPV when I had a routine pap exam. But I also told my doctor about my WHs extramartial activites. After the pap came back positive for HPV, she ran a DNA test. No genital warts, but I get tested every three months for cervical cancer, etc. Yeepee me!!! OW forer friend - never even told me she had - but I did always think it was funny that she was on the pill and had HUNDREDS of condoms by her wayside w/ a steady boyfriend of ten years. HMMMMMMMM!

Well, just this year, my sis admitted she was having sex or close enough. The hot tub was a convenient out since my mother had to find out about it.
Still, hot tubs are questionable. Give me a sauna.
