Thanks Blessed TIME
I do eat the ocassional treat. I still have a jones for dark chocolate. But instead of eating a pound of it I will just have a piece. During Thanksgiving and Christmas I ate most everything including some pecan pie. I just stopped when I was full and skipped the snacks the family always has all over the place before the meal. If I am at a friends house watching a game and they order pizza...I eat one piece instead of 6 or 7. In social situations where it's difficult to control what I eat...I control how much I eat.
I am telling you...I smile everytime I look in the mirror. And everytime someone says I look good or a women smiles at me....it makes it that much better.
But the best part is my wife. She had the A and everytime she looks at me and knows how good I look...she says it reminds her how much she screwed up. She says I look better then I ever had while with her...and I am not done yet.
She told her friend that she is affraid with how good looking I am becoming and how much I changed emotionally. That one day I will wake up and see that she does not deserve me.

I would like to keep my "stress" weight. I will NOT gain that weight back....that itcludes the 215 pound WH! I feel that I look better than ever now....my WH can eat his heart out. I'm starting to enjoy my life!!!!!!

Hemidart, everytime I read your messages, I am just SO IMPRESSED.
You are doing this losing weight and maintence the correct way...You are using CONTROL and not being a fanatic but doing it SENSIBLY.
And I am sure your wife is seeing you through new eyes, as her lover, that she does not want to lose to someone else...You both will not take one another for granted anymore, that right?
And TreeReich, you sound like a petite cutie. That made me laugh when you said you wouldn't gain back your 215lb husband!

Julie, I agree with weaver, that was truly beautiful and SO INSPIRING. I am SO GLAD I clicked on it this morning. AMAZING!
I would like to be able to copy and paste it and send to my friends and relatives.(Would it work?) But I don't know how!
You mentioned giving computer lessons, could you teach me how?
Thank you so much P.S. I lost 10 lbs the very first month after finding out and have kept it off.

THANKS weaver and flowergirl. Anyone reading this, please go back a few posts and click on the musical message: "Interview with God."
It was VERY INSPIRING to me also; very thought-provoking.
YES, YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE IT TO YOUR EMAIL MESSAGES....
HOW TO COPY AND PASTE
1. Highlight the message that you want to copy by holding your cursor down and scanning across it.
2. Click on EDIT in the top task bar and then click on COPY.
3. Now go to where we write messages on Email and click your cursor in that place.
4. Go back up to EDIT and click on PASTE and the message will magically appear in the compose area.
Have fun copying and pasteing, it is very useful to know how; you will use it often! ~Julie~

Oh, I so agree with some of the others, that curves are beautiful on a woman.
It's my stomach I can't handle. I want to get my belly buttin pierced and need to lose this stomach first. It is HARD to do, for some reason. I am 45 and just got it after taking Lexapro for three months.
Well I am going to put on some ACDC and go work out on my Tony Little Gizzele for awhile, then clean the house, read a book I've been wanting to read and do some cooking.
A day in heaven for me.
And as Mr. E says, and my very fav sig line on this board -
"it's a GREAT day to be alive!"
Have a good one all!

I lost 60 lbs. It stayed off for a while, but then I gained about 15-20 back-lbs that were really needed. Still look a whole lot better than before. [ February 05, 2005, 07:52 AM: Message edited by: new jersey ]

I have lost about 27-30 lbs in 7 weeks and still losing. I have no appetite at all, I force myself to eat something(fruit, crackers) because I know I need it. I cannot eat normal meals as I get sick afterwords. I know this is not normal, nothing is anymore.I do take nutritionals to supplement my body. Not sure where this is going, just wanted to share. Pre A-6'6" 287 now 6'6" 258-260

'hurtnheart'...that is good you lost the weight, think of it as a PLUS in this terrible ordeal.
I just wrote this to Erik in his thread about discovering his w's affair one month ago...
Maybe it will somewhat encourage you, as it applies to your situation also.
[b]"Erik, I wonder if you realize that RIGHT NOW, you are still in a state of shock?
What you don't realize is that in TIME this horrible ache will go away; one morning you will wake up and actually be hungry for breakfast....That lump in the pit of your stomach will be gone!
And that strange sensation is an ACTUAL FEELING almost undescribable but we've all had it!
Have you ever lost anyone dear to you to death? Remember that deep void you felt? And how TIME helped take the pain away?
This pain, believe it or not, WILL PASS! I've been there just 1 1/2 years ago when my H betrayed me with a younger lady so I KNOW!
Whether you and your wife work things out or whether you don't; everything will be OK. No one but God knows what HIS PLANS for your life are.
Sometimes all you can do is go on with your life the BEST you can, and that is what you are doing.
Sincerely and caringly, Julie" [ February 05, 2005, 03:53 PM: Message edited by: Blessed TIME ]

Ah yes, the infidelity diet. 30 lbs off for me. Wanted to lose it but not this way. Every single waking moment, I still feel a nervous, jumpy, sick feeling that I just can't shake. Been like that since D-day (7 weeks). The thought of food turns my stomach. Have to force it down most of the time and then try not to throw it back up.

Suzy, isn't it strange how we can try for years to lose some weight and then WHAMO, this happens, and the weight drops off in just a few weeks?
My daughter's beloved young husband (and wonderful daddy) was killed in a car accident this summer, leaving her with 3 little ones, ages 2 months to 5 years old.
It has been 8 months now and she says "Life will never be 'normal' the way it was when daddy was here, but we are making a 'new 'normal'. Life does goes on, the baby is starting to walk......
And you will see as TIME goes on, things will look so much brighter...You are in the 'early stages of sorrow!
I wrote this to 'Erik' and 'hurtnheart' in the post above: "What you don't realize is that in TIME this horrible ache will go away; one morning you will wake up and actually be hungry for breakfast....That lump in the pit of your stomach will be gone!

Love to you, Suzy, from Julie [ February 05, 2005, 03:39 PM: Message edited by: Blessed TIME ]

AAWWW BT-thank you! Not too bad for my age. I am a type A personality-I really didn't get that the weight bothered my H so much and then he chooses the classic blond bimbo to have an affair with (tiny and cute and much younger). Talk about motivation. I have to work on it everyday now-before it was easy-couldn't eat, but with recovery-oh well-life gets back to it's new normal. I have to admit, I am very competitive. I will not let myself go (babies or otherwise) ever agin.

'new jersey' and 'kyellow' you both have a GREAT sense of humor.
And kyellow, if you read what I wrote to Erik in his post about just discovering his wife's affair a month ago, I too, have been in your shoes and I was almost a WW.
Maybe I was a WW, as I was intensely infatuated and smitten, for one entire summer, before this fellow moved out of state! (And the residue feelings lasted for many years afterward.)
It was a long time ago, the summer of 1983! I told you I was older than most of you, I am 54 years old.
Oh, we would only CHEER if you were STILL a WW. Recovering~WW get an applause.
And you are still a cutie, even at 140 lbs.

I've been thin/skinny all my life, and I guess I turned to food for comfort. In the past I didn't eat while I was depressed, unfortunetely I guess I have matured and have shifted course.

OOPS SORRY 'kyellow' I edited my previous post to 140 lbs.
You don't want to be SKINNY, do you?
I am only 5' tall and think my body looks pretty cute at 137lbs! (Although when I was younger, 123 lbs. was my ideal weight; I guess our thoughts on 'our desirable weight' change as we get older. I have 7 grandchildren and grandmas should be a 'little plump'!)
I like the soft curvy look!~lol~ So does H.

I lost 30-33 LBs in first 6 weeks after D-Day...now I have been down as much as 36 LBS and flucuate about 7 LBS.
I have done a couple of different diets since and have added excersice. The last bit I need to figure out is how to no like food so much.
I am in the "I think we can make it, but still very, very insecure" mode. I have always been an emotional eater and have found myself snacking way to much the last few weeks.
Of course it does not help with my EL acts like I am not allowed to feel insecure.
Anyway, to those new to the infidelity diet please remember to rest plenty and drink lots of water and get a little food in ya...you need it more than you think.
I remember my body being in such shock that I ended up with chest pains because I was not taking good enough care of myself.
