Hello! I haven't posted to you in forEVER! I hope you are doing well. I don't spend much time here anymore, and the time I do I usually spend with a few members that I follow closely.

However, recently I have been compelled to share (several times!) a poem/prayer you shared with me on one very lonely and desperate morning, about 2 or 3 am my time. I woke up, couldn't go back to sleep, came to MB, and you were here. You posted to me a poem/prayer about how it is in the valleys that we grow, and also that because of the valleys we can recognize and appreciate the peaks of our lives. You actually posted a couple others that night, and I saved the others. But I didn't save the one that had the greatest impact on me!

I SUCK at searching this site for information. So, I am wondering, before I start that process, if you might know what I am talking about, and have it handy. If you share it again, I promise to save it to my hard drive!

Thank you so much for your time, and thank you so much for being there that morning for me. I cannot tell you the sense of peace I went back to sleep with. Just being able to go back to sleep at that point was a blessing! And with a sense of peace, too?! All I can say is ~ Thank You.

Spidey,

Hallo girlfriend, I’m doing fine thank you! Sorry for my late response - I only recognized your post this morning (I mostly post during the week at work).

Yes, I still remember that day I send the poems/prayers! Here is the specific poem you looking for:

IT'S IN THE VALLEYS I GROW

Sometimes life seems hard to bear,
Full of sorrow, trouble and woe
It's then I have to remember
That it's in the valleys I grow.

If I always stayed on the mountain top
And never experienced pain,
I would never appreciate God's love
And would be living in vain.

I have so much to learn
And my growth is very slow,
Sometimes I need the mountain tops,
But it's in the valleys I grow.

I do not always understand
Why things happen as they do,
But I am very sure of one thing.
My Lord will see me through.

My little valleys are nothing
When I picture Christ on the cross
He went through the valley of death;
His victory was Satan's loss.

Forgive me Lord, for complaining
When I'm feeling so very low.
Just give me a gentle reminder
That it's in the valleys I grow.

Continue to strengthen me, Lord
And use my life each day
To share your love with others
And help them find their way.

Thank you for valleys, Lord
For this one thing I know
The mountain tops are glorious
But it's in the valleys I grow!

REMEMBER...
The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is
the distance between your knees and the floor. The one who
kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything.

Spidey, a couple of months back I’ve started this thread:Encouraging poems, prayers and stories. You will also find the above poem and the other poems I’ve send you that morning on this thread. Maybe you will also find something else on this thread you can use to share with someone.

Take care and God bless,

Thank you, Suzet! I appreciate all the information, and the posting of this poem for me (again). I am saving it to my hard drive right now!
