As my thread title says, I HATE being sick while I'm single. Now, it really wasn't much different when I was married, but AARRGGHH!! I had kind of a mild flu yesterday and was in bed all day. OTOH, it felt good to get the rest and feel better, but OTOH...no one came in to see how I was, and no one made me OJ or soup, and no one took my temperature... I was just laying there alone, tossing and turning, with no one even acknowledging my presence (or lack thereof).

I RARELY if ever get sick. When I do get sick, I take to my bed and remain there until I'm well. And yep, I want to be spoiled a little bit when I'm sick! I'm a baby! I admit it.

Rats. I HATE being sick while I'm single!

Awww, sorry you're poorly CJ.

Y'know I was thinking about this a while back when I was preparing to be single. There was some movie on called 'singles' where a girl said she just wanted someone to say "gezundheit" when she sneezes.

I related to that. When your strong self image is laid low by viruses or whatever, it would be really nice to have some adult care for you in a practical and warm way.

I hope you get well and strong again soon CJ. 2005 will be YOUR year remember

Hey, brother bob!

Haven't spoken with you in a month of Sundays! Thanks for the sympathy. Thankfully I am already feeling better today, although a little of my strength has been sapped. I did a little running around with my daughter this morning, and this afternoon I took it easier...I have newsletters to write and articles to write and phone calls to make, so I'm mostly sitting down and sipping tea!

Oh, I never, ever, EVER get sick. I get a cold about once a year like everyone else, but I just power through it. I think this is the first time I got actually sick in a couple of years! Anyway, I'm a awful baby when I'm sick. I know it's somewhat unrealistic, but I really like it when someone sits by me or periodically checks in on me. I like have some OJ or soup brought in, as if I mean something to someone!

AARRGGHH!! Darn viruses!!

It true, we haven't spoken in ages. I have a new job ( family friendlier, no less money THANK YOU GOD !!! ), a new wife ( one that is TRYING HARD to build a better M!) and less need to subject every thought to the filter of the great and good on MB.

I tried to quit MB for a while but theres SO many hurting people and i CAN help with initial BS problems I felt really bad leaving them.

Pathetic, I know I am no MC but just digging out the bread-and-butter examples of Dday, plan A etc is PROVEN help. And lots of times theres only RIF and myself around on 'nightshift'.

I'll do ya a short 'life' update and let U have it just 'cos, well, its kinda great to have a big sis in the rockies who gives a sh*t y'know?

And it WILL make a change to talk about OTHER Than big life-affecting stuff !

Like I'm going through a Neil Young phase right now

Later hun. Keep warm, and be well.
