Just out of curiosity, what do you believe a man and spiritual leader of his family should be? one that prays everyday w/his wife and children? one that goes to church constantly? one that provides, pays all the bills, mows the lawn takes the trash out? Just curious about exactly what people feel that a man's responsibility as a spiritual leade of his home is.

Hi MA,

Well, your other thread certainly got some interesting comments... I'm not going to get into a discussion about anyone elses views and I can only speak for myself...

Here are my thoughts on what it means to be the spiritual leader of my family:

* I have a real relationship with my savior, Jesus Christ.
* I spend time in His Word, each and every day.
* I pray constantly for my wife and for my daughters.
* I recognize the leadership role that God has given me.
* I treat my wife as an equal partner in our marriage.
* I recognize that God has given my wife to me to help me by complementing me where I'm weak and supporting me where I'm strong.
* I complement my wife where she is weak and support her in areas where she is strong.
* I love my wife unconditionally just as Christ loves His church.
* I try my best to teach my girls what it means to be a good husband and father.
* I try to build my wife up each and every day.

For me, being the spiritual leader of my family is much more than just making sure that they go to church...

Semper Fi,
RIF
