I am in the most extraordinarily crappy mood this morning. It's hard to stay up beat up when everything is pressing down on me. My house is a mess. I didn't sleep well. DD's got 150 boxes of Girl Scout cookies sitting on the coach waiting to be delivered. Maybe the cookies can watch cartoons with her. DS is in the State Championships for his sport starting tomorrow. All he can do is complain about how tired he is, how much homework he has and how ready he is to graduate. Plus he wasn't accepted into his 1st choice college, a blow. WH is being as enigmatic as ever. We've done somethings together but at a certain point, there's this wall that I can't get through. I suspect he's got a bomb to drop on me as soon as DS's sport is finished this weekend. I'm dreading Valentine's Day because for all of WH's friendliness lately, I wonder where and how he's going to spent it. I'm sick of the brown, grey cold of February and dreaming of a warm beach. And I'm having a mammogram today. That's a good thing but all women know exactly how that feels.

I'm tired of doing damage control with the kids, of being the strong one, the supportive one, the one who does not go back to a fancy empty apartment where there are no meals to cook, dishes to do, dog poop to pick up, homework to nag about and kids to comfort and get to bed. The one who did not choose to be alone. The one without an OP. The one who feels like moving on. The person who needs a vacation.

It's not Monday and it's not rainy but I'm sure down. Thanks for the rant. Okay, now I don't have to kick the dog.

LOL Grape...I'm glad you don't have to kick the dog!

I understand, I feel much the same way. My house is trashed, I've been running around this morning trying to at least pick it up. I am the one who has to go to this intensive outpatient program, who is on leave from my job, because the state of my marriage has me THAT SCREWED UP, I am the one who has to listen to my teenager rant and rave about things, the one who has to kick them in the butt about their homework, the one who has to scoop the poop out of the litter box because apparently no one else is offended by the rancid smell. I am the one who has to go through the house picking up a thousand socks and pieces of clothing that my children shuck wherever they happen to be. For goodness sake, they can't even seem to flush the toilet, and I end up doing that too. My WH doesn't have a *fancy* apartment, but he has his own little house, where...just like you said, there are no meals to be cooked, or children to pick up after...must be fricken nice.

The bleakness of winter is getting to me too.....and I am about to go to plan B....go me...Sheesh.

I have been a single parent before, but this is not what I signed up for damn it! My house is not dirty but the clutter is driving me INSANE!!!!!!!!!! I have to go up to my room...which is not cluttered just to feel like I'm not losing my mind.

I run around the house thinking I smell something stinky all the dang time....I'm like "What's that smell?!" sniff...sniff....do you smell that?! I swear this house has some weird smell I can't pin down...I burn candles and spray febreze non stop.

I keep forgetting to pay the stupid trash collection company, so my back porch looks like an annex of the city dump...thank goodness there are trees between my next door neighbors house and mine or they'd for sure call the city on me. I am going to pay it today....but alas, trash day was yesterday...so it will sit there and fester for another week.

I am having quite a bit of difficulty making ends meet, I am robbing Peter to pay Paul on a regular basis.

I have to go to the psychiatrist today to try to get my meds straightened out, as my family doctor kept heaping on more of the same even though it wasn't working and I ended up semi-suicidal. I've never seen this Doc before, and I am seriously going to snap if he tries to give me the same crap I've been getting. They have me on Xanax XR and Zoloft...and I HATE THEM BOTH! I have been on Xanax for about 6 years due to anxiety attacks (left over from the last A WH had) and they work okay, but I end up needing to take them more often, or in a higher amount than prescribed, so they switched me to this Xanax XR(Extended Release) and I NEVER get the feeling of relief...it sucks, I feel all tied up in knots all the dang time...arrrgh!

Like I said, I have decided Sunday is the day that I will give WH my plan B letter....and I'm nervous about that. I keep thinking "Oh geeze, he's probably going to just be grateful to be rid of me".

Sooooo anyway, didn't want you to feel alone in the way you feel, it's like you're being fed sh*t and saying it tastes like chocolate. We never asked to be in this position, we're not the ones having the A's......but it sure feels like we're the ones being punished, eh?!

-Caren

P.S.-I laughed about the girl scout cookies watching cartoons with your DD....I feel the same way...maybe the jar of peanut butter my kids insist on taking out into the living room can watch nickelodeon with them...LMAO

Hey hon, here is a diversion for you. You can get a free tarot reading (computer generated) on this site. And although I realize that tarot and horoscopes are for entertainment, these are usually pretty spooky.

Here's mine for today....It was a "self knowledge" reading, and I asked about how I should approach my Plan B.

Conditions from the past will be repeated unless you awaken to alternatives.

The card in the Body position points to influences from your personal history, your genetic heritage, roots and background.

This card is traditionally entitled a Page, but in some modern decks as a Princess. In this position, this card recognizes something very familiar in your situation that takes you back to a time when unexpected news changed your life. It could either have been a positive experience with a pleasing outcome, or the opposite.

At any rate, take time to remember the event in detail because your current situation will echo your earlier response unless you consciously make an effort to react differently and create a new pattern. Your intuition, like a faithful messenger, is prodding you to awaken to what is unfolding and the new choices you have. Be clear about what you want to happen this time so that past mistakes are not repeated.

You are up against the wall, and it is appropriate to admit it.

The card in the Mind/Feelings position reflects an aspect of who you are right now, as you present yourself to the Tarot experience.

The Ten of Swords in this position signifies a sense of grim relief. At this point you are no longer obligated to exert any more effort because there is nothing more you can do. Under the circumstances, no one can rationally expect you to have any power to change the situation.

In a sense, you are free. You may be in shock, flattened, but that is understandable and acceptable. It is best not to try to do anything about your condition at this time. This card gives you permission to surrender to the inevitable. Be assured that in time you will recover, you will again have some wind behind your sails. But for the present, you're just knocked out. Admit it and go with it -- what else can you do?

Your inner Wise One is beginning to pierce illusion.

The card in the Spirit position reflects the broader perspective and influence of conscience, your Guardian Angel, inner wisdom.

When the King of Cups come up in this position, you are coming into a spiritual inheritance that you created for yourself through deep longing and personal development. A rich well of intuitive insight is distilled from lifetimes of human drama. Serenity becomes a greater part of everyday life, even as challenges continue to arise.

You are beginning to merge with the fountain of life, the source of all being. As your inner life mellows, the outer world becomes more lucid. You are beginning to enjoy the beauty, harmony and infinite blessing that is daily life on Earth. Your inner shaman is coming to the fore, and for this blessed moment you can see through illusion and feel the sacred.

See...weird, huh?! Here's the addy, just in case you are interested.

Caren, it's nice to know somebody else is in the same, leaky, ugly boat. My WH at least kind of talks to me and hasn't left me without resources. Teenagers, don't you love 'em.

Maybe I will check out the tarot cards.

I think most everyone here is not looking forward to valentines day i am sure the whole day was invented by the card companies any way.
Okay buy yourself the biggest card going and mail it to youself let WH see it if you can or let kids tell him. LOL that should make him sit up and think especially if you ask him did he send it. What do you think he will say yes or no!!!!!!

Okay okay the thought of it is just enough to make you laugh.

LOL @ the card companies creating Valentines Day...it does sound like the sort of incidious thing those card companies would do!!!

Actually Sweetest Day, I buy as a made up holiday to sell cards, Valentines Day, or as I like to refer to it "VD" is actually to honor St. Valentine.
