Gosh...that sounds like something I would do. LOL!
I would be careful though. He could sue you for defamation (sp?) of character.
I would love to make up flyers and put them around letting everyone know about my WH and the OW. So tempting!!!!!

Aside from the mailing idea, and more to exposure in general, exactly how "big" is Mr. Big Britches?

Before you put your butt on the line down the middle of the highway, look around and see there's no big-rig semi barreling down the road gonna squish you into roadkill.

Check with an attorney first.... then, if it looks like it's a non-lethal move from the law's standpoint ... go ahead, why not?

OW (PBR) lives in a culdasac. I was thinking about sending out flyers to her neighbors to warn the wives to be on the lookout for a chinese person who likes white guys. But when I went to her neighborhood, it was so intermixed, it may not have done much good. LOL!!!!

OW liked to send nekki pixs of herself over the internet (one which the e-mails companies did not like and shut down as a result). Thought that s/b included on the flyer as well. After all she c/b a bad influence on the young people in her neighborhood. For that matter to anyone who she comes into contact with.

AD,

Do a search on his posts, he is (IMHO) a very astute poster especially in regards to exposure but also in virtually any situation that we here at MB face on a daily basis

not that I really condone this idea, being a former bad guy and all, but from a logical aspect how much does it cost to advertise on one billboard in town? I mean if you are going to get "bang-for-the-buck" on this it seems a $1000 dollars would go a long way on that kind of thing. Maybe a bus-stop advertisement or something. I mean seriously, you want exposure? Nothing says "HOLY SH** LOOK AT THAT" like a billboard in my mind.

AD,

Me thinks you are spending too much time on this revenge fantasy.

Use your time on a more positve and constructive activity. Though I understand the drive, your course is not a safe one by any means. Enacting on such ideas w/b harmful to you and your family.

Now if you are such venting here via this method.... well.....

AD,

I understand your position and your reasons. The sad piece is no matter how genuine and sincere your reasons, the perception of your acts may give a different picture. Instead of trying to prevent others from being used by the OM, you w/b perceived as being vindictive and vengeful.

In my case, the OW claimed to have notified her acquaintances from my workplace and threatend to have me fired. Let's see, I notified my HR and director regarding this issue. I was told not to worry about my job but to this day, I never know if any of the employees there were notified by the OW as to whose' Ws she was screwing with. My position at my company was in management. Most of the incoming work into our division came through my area. I interfaced and resolved many many problems that saved the company a great deal of $$. But that also made lots of enemies for those who wanted to play games with the system. I don't play games with my work. As a result, many liked my work but did not like me. Go figure. I was accused of many things yet I had to do what I was paid to do. I don't regret it but it sure made my job harder. Even my bosses recognized it.

My point is that I also had ample opportunity to blast the OW. Even had her H's employer and his name + badge. Could have done her lots of damage. I let it ride out. It is still at my disposal if I chose to use it.

I warned 1 of her neighbors, he said he appreciated being told since she pretends t/b a private person (yea while sending body part pixs via the internet - ). He has young boys and so do several other neighbors so her lifestyle did worry him.

But that is where I stopped. I actually had a letter written to her mother who is in her 80's. Almost sent it to her. But I stopped.

Time will bring all out. If you have specific people to tell, tell them. They will make sure the word gets around.

See if you do this ad campaign, your W c/b labeled as a whore and if she should want to make a recovery, it w/b harder.

Instead expose the OM as someone who takes advantage of people and put doubts if others have been taken by him as well. Do a background check on the OM. Expose not just the A but raise questions as to the other parts of his character. Having an A damages one's character.

For instance, maybe he was asked to housesit for a couple of weeks. If the family who asked him finds out he is not a loyal or morally upright guy, would they want him unattended in their house? Stuff like this.

It does take a while to let this go through the mill but it can.

Pray for patience, a clear mind and a calm heart.

IMHO, $$ is better spent on a PI.

take care,
L.

AD, I think that most of the outfits that deal in mailers and billboards would be hesitant to accept this sort of business. They'd be afraid of some kind of legal liability. Or even the threat, which forces them to retain counsel, which costs money.

In the U.S., libel/defamation/slander suits are only threatened, and the threat of outrageous legal expenses is usually enough to silence a person.

A person is only actually guilty if the so-called "libelous" statements are untrue. If the activity is part of an ongoing pattern of "harassment", that's a potential legal snag as well, but if you haven't done anything else, then there's nothing "ongoing" about it!

You should probably let this one go, AD, and just expose the A with conventional methods. I think the "evening news" stuff is just hyperbole.

For most of us, conventional methods of exposure, done with a "scorched earth" approach, usually get the job done. Everybody who knows the sparrow and me knows she's having an affair. Anything else would just shame and humiliate her, but probably wouldn't change anything except my legal fees.
