Just wondering if others have trouble with step children pushing the wayward parent into divorce?

Does the WS children support the dysfunctional marriage?

Do they help or are they friends with the WS - OP?

Do you know WS that their 20 something children sit and bars and drink w/the WS like they are "friends" rather than the parent figure?

It's not bad enough the WH is still very wayward - but, I see his daughter supporting his treating me w/disrespect - I see her being best friends w/one of his MOW. I see her telling him he's got to do something - he's got to file for divorce.

I don't know if she knows that he's had many MOW/OW and that's why our marriage is where it is or what he's told her. We have never been close so it's not like I can go and tell her and she'd care - he never had a relationship w/his kids till about 2 years ago - right around the time he became blatant w/his affairs. He goes out w/his kids drinking and uses them as a sounding board and as a scapegoat to get out.

Just wondering if I'm the only one in this stitch..

Sounds like emotional incest to me
IMHO that can be as damaging as physical incest
Problem is that emotional incest is harder to detect

In my WW's family, there are actual cases of incest - much of that family shuns much of the rest of it - dad's living with daughters, etc. It's too creepy to talk about...a famiy tree with no branches. I'm glad my WW's mom and dad decided to get out of that mess when they did - it still hangs around to haunt us, but then, W's family is WIERD - I appologize to all who live in Alabama, but they epitomize the stereoptype that has haunted that part of the south for so long. (I married an embryo, My sister is my mom, Grandpa is a great lover, etc)

I could go on with the story - it's unbelieveable, but there are issues that you bring up that can really only be addressed by a pro...
