I live in the Dallas area.
I am terrified of relationships now.
I am just really needing friends at this point in my life.
I am anything but a social butterfly.
I was wondering if there is a support group for people who have been where I have been that meet once in awhile.

I don't live in the Dallas area.

But I tried some support groups around here about 1 1/2 years ago but I didn't feel comfortable.

Some people were obviously there to find dates and since I don't believe in dating until the divorce is final that creeped me out.

In general most came with very sad stories to tell of betrayal. There were some chuckles over the silly fog talk things our adulterous spouses were saying but overall it was sort of depressing.

There was very little discussion of the sort of info you can find at this site.

What I have found helpful though is my church.
I belong to a small group for bible study.

Also, I'm thinking of starting a small book study group for separated/divorced women to get together and discuss some of the books I've found helpful (When Women Walk Alone, Sassy Single & Satisfied, Men Who Can't Love)

I live near Dallas as well. I don't know of anything, unfortunately. I think I'd certainly be open to meetings though - especially if they were related to this board. Most everyone here has a kind heart, and we have a strong common bond in the WSs.
