I got to a divorce and death support group which I find helps immensely. Its called Rainbows http://www.rainbows.org/ Its especially good for kids, since kids go too but doesn't sound like that's essential for you. I looked up Texas and there are a few Texas chapters although my Texas geography is pretty bad so I'm not sure whether they are near Dallas or not (I'm a Canuck). Hope that's of some use.
