I was at a luncheon the other day and the topic came up that if you had been married more than once the problems that you had in your first marriage carry over into your second if not dealt with.....The discussion came up because 2 of my close friends had been married once before and they worked really hard to remedy the problems they had had experineced in their first marriage. Otherwise they were predestined to relieve some of the same difficulties they had experienced the first time around. Some have had problems in their marriages dealing with blending 2 families. Had a cousin who had a wonderful 2nd marriage but it was broken because the child from another marriage caused a great deal of friction in the marriage. It was too bad. They had something good going...but the child was just acting out having to adjust to another family or two. The greatest gift you can give your children is loving your spouse.

My WH was married before and had PA with OW while XW was pregnant.

My WH also started his current A while I was pregnant. I am his second wife. I know if he does not takes care of this in this marriage he will go on to do the same thing in the next relationship.

He keeps mentioning how he wants the butterflies again. I told him that is only on the honeymoon stage of a realtionship and once it is over what is left it is what is real. WH may feel his butterfies with OW now but given time, and knowing of his background, he will go empty again on that feeling. You may keep the relationshiop working great after the honeymoon period but the butterflies are gone. I sitll feel good inside when I am with him but the butterflies themselves are gone.

Just my two cents. Love
