Well WW has a bad cold and was feeling weak this weekend. We discussed going to the movies but instead I went out and rented a couple. She said "cool". Saturday we stayed home all day and I did some cleaning and laundry. The day went pretty good and WW seemed to be in a good mood. Rented a couple more movies for Sat night and we all sat and watched them. WW took two calls from MIL which was a welcome change since she has not for some time. Sunday I asked WW if she wanted to go to a new mall that we have not been to yet. She said OK and we went. She allowed me to hold her hand and even grasped mine back a few times! I have noticed that DS gets jealous sometimes when I try to get close to WW and gets between us. All in all the weekend went without any hostility from WW. No typicial email to move out or I want a divorce this morning. I always dread openning my email in the morning because of this. Will continue on Plan A.

Things sound good & promising! I’m glad you had a problem free weekend and no ‘divorce’ or ‘move out’ talk from your W again.

He's as much a victim - if not more so - than anyone else in this mess. If he's trying to get close to his Mom, that's a HUGE vote of confidence to her - a signal of positive reinforcement to her better behavior, as he must be perceiving it. A win-win situation for them both. Just smugly watch this and have confidence that without YOUR good work, things would certainly be much worse!!

But always be prepared for a sea change. She can beam back to the Mothership any second and you'd be in for another lap on the 'coaster.

Thanks for the encouragement MB friends. I fully realize WW frame of mind and how it can change at the drop of a hat. I'm just trying to take it day by day.
