I'm glad the company took that stand but I hope they recover just as I do everyone on this site. The one thing going for them is they have the money for a MC. Hopefully they have more then that.

old fool! LOL
The survey results (so far) that 50-some% agree with the decision to fire him.
Disappointed it's such a slight lead.
Also the affair had just started in January so with such speedy exposure and drastic consequences hopefully the BW stands a chance (IF she even wants the ole fool anymore LOL)
I'm wondering why they didn't expose and fire the female exec too?

“The one possible impact is that in their quest to find a squeaky-clean guy, they may have to take someone who’s not as well-qualified,†he said.
Ugh...
This statement bothers me.

New BOEING CEO "FIRED" for affair.
Good. Just desserts.
WS wasn't even good looking and he certainly wasn't looking good. OW probably looked like Camilla. YIKES!!!
Sad that the spokesman said the A was not the 'cause' but happy that they questionned his 'judgement'. So the A does impair one's judgement. FOG!!!!!!

You also have to take into consideration Boeing's recent history - CEO had an alliance with a key decision maker in the Dept of Defense - one in charge of awarding contracts. This standard was set because of a relationship that tarnished the company and burned it's stockholders; everyone now wonders if Boeing legitimately earned the contracts that were awarded to it.
So on the heels of firing that CEO, they have another caught in an unholy alliance; they're not taking their chances.
In other words, how can they expect a man to honor the ethics of Sarbanes-Auxley, be honorable in establishing contractual relationships for the company, if he can't honor one simple covenant with his wife - one to whom he pledged his heart and his affections.
It seems the board of directors of Boeing have finally figured out what ministers have been trying to teach congregations all along. [ March 08, 2005, 06:32 AM: Message edited by: KaylaAndy ]

Ye- p he violated his own personal dignity/integrity..If he continued to work there and have an affair - he eventually would have lost respect from his fellow employees..He would be all they talked about at lunch..Even if employees said they didnt' care what he did - they all would know he was doing wrong - so why couldn't they do wrong..steal, lie, cheat the company...It's like playing with dominos...
Wish my WH could see what he's done to lose respect of our employees...FUnny, how they never see themselves in this picture..and to the rest of us they are so obvious.....
