I've been overwhelmed since Christmas...I have breast cancer.
I'm scared but I can honestly say that I'm stronger as a result of having met all of you. My H...well, he's distraught.
Please keep me in your thoughts.
Thank you for having helped me to build my strength and character all these years.

My dear T,
I am sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis. You certainly are not alone in dealing with this issue. In addition to your immediate support you will find how others are dealing with the same diagnosis. I am not in the medical field but maybe others who have such experience will stop by.

surround yourself with only positive thoughts as much as you can...
hand over your fears...

Hello everyone,
Good to hear from my wise old MB buddies...
Orchid...my H does know. His family...well they have and continue to be by my side all the way. My MIL...she says I'm a daughter not a DIL. My SIL's...with me all the way. My H...rid with guilt...is distraught by the news.
Ark...I will email you. One of the reasons I came back to the board is because it's a part of me, my survival...who I am today. Also perhaps...because I see the pain in my H's eyes. He has caused so much pain...and now after three years of hell, there's a different reality he has to confront. I would never want to be in his shoes. To know that I caused pain so deeply and then watch someone suffer physically on top of it all...no, I am glad that I had all of you to maintain my dignity and integrity. I am finally glad I'm me and not him.
Pepper...my cancer has not been staged. However, it is a grade 2. My surgery is on the 23rd...my post op is on March 31st at which time I will find out the stage.
Lex, I'm stunned too. Just when I thought I was starting to come up obove sea level...however, the betrayal experience has given me a strength I would have never had to confront this reality.

I am more of lurker, but you have been one of the individuals that my heart went out to. You have continously been in my prayers. Tonight I will pray harder. Please stay strong. All these people on the board are wonderful souls. Keep posting and let them continue to support you and be the strength you need to take the next step.

Terrified... I am so sorry to hear of your illness but you are a fighter and I am sure that you will come through this fine.. Like Ark said surround yourself with positive things in your life.... Stay strong - This is about you now - you have to worry about yourself and take care of yourself... Good luck and my prayers are with you .. Keep us updated...
