I have had this certain view of my life and myself for soooo long....and over the last couple of years I've realized that I've had it all wrong.

I used to be one of those people that thought...."If anything bad will happen....it will happen to me".

For the longest time in my life it wasn't just a thought....it was reality.....because if anything bad happened....it always happened to me. You name it...it happened.

2004 was a really good year.....the best in a really long time I have to say....and 2005 is looking even better.

A little history.

My H's A devastated us financially. We lost our home and soon after we found ourselves well on the road to recovery we were bankrupt. We had to move in with his parents. We lived there for 2 years to get back on our feet.

We've been out of their house (though we now live next door to them and we are renting) for almost 2 years now and we have been working very hard to recover in all ways.

My H has had 2 promotions at work and has tripled his income in the last 2 years. This is great...as he almost lost his job due to his A. I applied to go back to school and got into a very hard to get into school. I'm now a full time IT student. Last year we were able to take our first family vacation ever....we took the girls to Disney World. Had a blast.

Our girls are getting along great...though there are always bumps in the road. Our oldest is growing physically and mentally by leaps and bounds. Our 2 youngest aren't far behind her. They all have a great relationship with their daddy now. Which is great considering our oldest at one time refused to talk to him or see him and referred to him as "the liar".

Our 14th Anniversary is coming up on the 16th of this month and my H has something planned. Just a short weekend trip. He won't tell me where to.

I leave for Tampa, FL on the 31st for my mothers wedding (she's finally marrying her BF of 17 years). This will be hard for me as I'm going alone and haven't been away from the girls or H for more than 2 days before since recovery started. I'm hoping the house will still be intact when I get back...but our oldest daughter has stepped up and will be a HUGE help to her dad. I'll be coming back on the 4th of April...the day before our youngest ones 7th B-Day.

We just found out yesterday that we qualify for 100% financing on a house that we NEVER thought we would be able to afford.

Man....I just woke up this morning with the best feeling. Life IS good.

I definately don't think if something bad will happen...it will happen to me anymore.

miss priss,
I'm so happy for you. I'm hoping my R will go just as well. Good Luck with the new house.
