Working thru plan B as well as I can, I have discovered, as many of you know, that the woman I thought was my W (or even my WW) turned out to be someone totally different. Yesterday I saw her when I dropped off a box of her stuff at her new house. Our relationship is gone. There is nothing there. Both of us want the divorce as much as the other (for totally different reasons, of course).

Things didn't go the way I wanted. At first. But things have gone so much better than I expected - I am a completely different person - changing more every day. I am more happy than I have ever been. So I guess this update is just this: Plan B is to protect yourself, to give you the space you need to grow and learn. It is a natural consequence of a plan A that does not get the results you hope.

It may be a 'gamble' - but the result - if you do it right - makes the effort and pain you face more than worth it - even (as in my case) you lose the relationship you had - or at least thought you had.

I'm very proud of myself today - saved a life last night - got commendations from doctors and nursing staff for just simple intuition - somethng about the 'flu' a woman was complaining about didn't seem to jibe with what I know as everyday experience - the doctors took my word for it and found a ruptureed spleen.

This would not have been me a few weeks ago - I have learned enough about myself to trust ny own judgment and to forget the jabs and stabs of a hateful spouse - and a woman lives today because of it. Maybe a drasic example, but a living testament that if you concetrate on growth for yourself thru plan A and plan B, the resulting person will be ultimately more valuable just because ofthat growth.

Gotta get to sleep - been up almost 20 and have to pick up the kids in 5 hours = arrrg!

Single parenting is not an easy thing - lol

David

I am so proud of you - I really am. You have grown so much. I am not in plan B and hoping for a recovery. But I to have grown and become a better woma. I just closed a deal today and now have money. Getting my teeth finished this eek and happy with the ourcome, and paying for it all out of my pocket. So expensive. Only 3 done and 2 thousand after insurance. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> Don't it seem weird when you really look at yourself in the mirror and see the new you.
Saving someones life must make you feel so good and proud of yourself. Be sure to tell your children all about it. They will be proud of their Dad. Wish you worked where we live. We could use some good doctors.Again you are doing so well -proud of you and that patient owes you for her life. Keep going.

Sorry to hear that Plan B was a no go, but am happy to hear that you're regaining your sense of self!! Bravo! I think that is the ultimate revenge, becoming a better person not because of them, but inspite of them.

Yay David! It is strange how Plan B often leads you to a better life. Keep working on you, and what you can contribute to the world. I promise that things will get better, and you will find someone who deserves you.

David,
I am very proud of you!!! You sound very confident.

I've kept up with you all along, as I could relate to so much of what was going on with Cheryl.
You've had so many of those moments along the way and you really sound uplifted.
CONGRATS TO YOU!!

Take care,
Suzy
