Carmen, this has been the study of alot of us on MB. I don't think there is any real answer. It's like learning how to dive off the diving board when you were little, you start with little dives and then you take one hugh leap of faith and if you land ok, then you know you can do it again. There is no real way to rebuild the trust, but you have to give the spouse the opportunity to right the wrong they did, the same as your mother gave you the opportunity to say you were sorry when you did something wrong as a kid. I think we all deserve that attitude. If you try and find your trust unworthy, then you don't trust again. But everyone deserves the opportunity once to make things right again.
It was extremely difficult and even now and again I have little problems to work on in regards to this, but take the leap of faith and trust that God may guide you in this! God Bless!
------------------
Chick's
You won't see things until your ready to not be blind!
Hi Carmen
I read somewhere here on MB that humans are wired for affairs. Never trust.. hahaha
Really I try not to think about the trust part although I am battling the thoughts at times. All I do is meet my W needs and enjoy life. If I provide and meet all my W needs then I "hope" she will not need to have an affair BUT if she does have another affair then I give up. Try not to dwell on the Trust issue. Have your eyes and heart open, if you feel uncomfortable with something than talk about it, no lovebust and try your best to enjoy your marriage. If you do all you can and your spouse still cheats than you are hanging on to something that does not want to be there and nothing you do will stop the affair. Cross that bridge if you get to it and don't let the trust issue eat you up.
Good Luck
_____________________________________________
"Better to die on your feet than live on your knees"
