K you've been able to provide so much support to the many people who come to MB, I was wanting to know if your OK.
You don't talk much anymore about whats going on with your W and Noah, just supply a little support to the many drowning people (like myself) on this board.
I've been coming here for over a year now, and I know you've been here longer, so I guess I kinda look to you for what may be on the road ahead. Maybe its not cool to hold you out as the "standards bearer" but there have been many times when you were all I had.
I hope that you still feel comfortable sharing.
optimist

optimist,
I'm doing fine---great, actually. I've been limiting my time here because of a lot of work-related stuff.
My wife and I are continuing to progress towards recovery. We've taken a break from MB counseling---my wife doesn't like the "work" involved (the paper). But we're practicing the concepts, and there's only that "pesky" sex hurdle to get over. But the talk lately (whether to have another child, birth control, vacations...) leads me to believe that I won't be celibate much longer. So I'd say that the progress on the marriage front is good---I wish it was faster-paced, but in the grand scheme of things, it'll work out just fine.
Noah is great! He's still having problems sleeping through the night, but he is an absolute delight when he's awake! He's vocal, crawling, social, and just a blast. I wouldn't trade him for the world! All our kids are doing well.
As an interesting note, my daughter told my wife and I to stop "arguing"---we were discussing something silly with raised voices. We laughed---it's probably the first time that's happened in several months. Before I discovered the affair, that would happen several times a day. I use those kinds of markers as an indication of our progress, and it's truly been amazing!
Thanks for thinking of me. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
