This used to be my favorite poem to read, and now I find I have to work at making my quiet time with God, so that it even exists at all!
Hope you enjoy it...
The Lord is my Pacesetter, I shall not rush.
He makes me stop and rest for quiet intervals,
He provides me with images of stillness, which restore my serenity.
He leads me in ways of efficiency through calmness of mind,
And His guidance is peace.
Even though I have a great many things to accomplish each day, I will not fret, for His presence is here.
His timelessness, His all-importance will keep me in balance.
He prepares refreshment and renewal in the midst of my activity,
By anointing my mind with His oils of tranquillity.
My cup of joyous energy overflows, surely harmony and effectiveness shall be the fruit of my hours for.....
I shall walk in the place of my Lord and dwell in His house forever...

(Of course the secret of this is the last sentence and keeping our eyes on Jesus, and for us in our circumstances that means we really have to focus harder [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] )

Wonderful! He does give you peace in the midst of the storm. I can atest to that because He has given me the strength to endure. When I am at my lowest, He takes over which makes me at my strongest. I rely on Him all the time even when I feel great because I don't want to become complacent and forget that He is always there.
------------------
God Bless,
Rob
