I should be able to figure this out but can't seem to!
How do I get more than 10 Subject Title Threads to show when I click on General Questions? (After I log in.)
I like a LOT of them to show, like on the original MB message board.
I am sure there is a simple explanation.
Thanks so much. Julie

Go to your personal home page. Click on your display prefrences. I believe it's the "total parent posts per page", (or something like that),that you need to change.

I guess I need more detailed information.
I clicked on 'My Home' and I tried clicking on my ID but I do not see any place for editing or any 'display preferences'.
Where is 'personal home page'? Is that different than 'My Home'?
I give computer lessons and feel really foolish not being able to figure this out!
Thanks for you help, Julie

Yes..."My Home" is what I meant--sorry.
Click on "My Home" Scroll down to "Main Configuration" Click on "Edit" next to the "Display preferences..." Scroll down the page to find the "total parent posts per page" and change the number. I believe 30 is the default number.

When I click on 'My Home' this is all I get.It just shows log in etc.(I am copying and pasteing it here.)
I do not see anything like Main Confiuration or Display Preferences.
I am not giving up, keep giving suggestions.....

Hmmmm...now I'm confused.
First, from what I can tell..."My Home" isn't even a provided link if you're not logged in to begin with. Are you logged in when you click on "My Home"?

Yep I am logged in. ('My Home' doesn't show if not logged in.)
As you can see, it has my ID name BLessed TIME and then below it another place to log in.
No wonder I am confused; since yours is not like this.
So I still need help. I only have 10 subject lines showing; the threads go to page two and so on.

I wish I could be of more help. From what you've pasted, it looks like you're not being logged off when you click on "Home Page", so I don't know why it won't take you to your "Home Page". Have you tried logging out and logging back in?

Now that time (previous message) it had my original 'inspiring message' at the bottom...none of my other posts have it, since coming to this 'new and improved' MB.
Plus it is not in the right foremat and cannot be clicked on. Another grrrrrr~lol~

If it's logging out everytime you click on Home Page that explains why Home Page doesn't open--or at least doesn't open so that you're able to make edits, etc. I downloaded Mozilla yesterday, and haven't been logged off since.

AD, thanks for trying to help.
I actually had downloaded Firefox when BOBPURE recommended it.
I keep forgetting and connecting to Internet Explorer but when I connect to Mozilla, I stay connected.
And like I showed you, I am connected when I click on 'My Home'....otherwise it won't be there to click on.
Maybe I will write the 'help' address, and see if they have any more suggestions.
I do appreciate you trying to help me figure this out.

I clicked on the site you posted...I will copy and paste the entire page I retrieved. Note, it has my name: Blessed TIME on it so it would mean I am logged in. By the way, my ID means TIME IS BLESSED. TIME is so wonderfully healing to our heartaches of life! Love, Julie

It works now!
When I click on 'My Home' I can bring up display preferences and edit.
By changing the default from threaded to flat mode, I can read the Subject. (Couldn't before)
And I changed the number of messages on the page to 30.
Even was able to change the colors of the backgrounds, lots of choices...I have it in pretty BLUE. It is called 'skins'.
Sincerely, Julie

Yaaaaaaaaaaay Julie, (note the trophy)!!!, (I was afraid to ask this morning if you got it cleared up)
What did the trick? Or is it one of those computer mysteries?
It's fun and easy once you're able to actually access stuff, isn't it?
I've got mine set to blues too. Pretty! Plus if I get logged off, I know it immediately cuz the page goes back to the ugly "logged off" colors right away.
Have a great day!
