I'm trying to get used to this new board. I'm able to post, but I can't read unless I log off and not able to reply. I guess its going to take some time..

My Wh now XH, finally sent me my 2003 tax refund, we filed jointly so he had to issue me a personal check. Guess what it bounced. He called to tell me he was sorry, he was in between paychecks and I can call him to see how I wanted to handle this.

It was a couple weeks before Christmas since we last talked. Part of me wants to talk to him and the other part of me is telling me to stay away.

I also need to talk to him on how we are going to handle our 2004 returns, (I figuring we are doing it separately, even though he told me we would do it jointly for 2004, that was before he moved to Vegas) I guess I'm procrastinating on this issue and I know time is running out. I don't know if I should use his acccountant or not, he does know our finanical situation and knows our deductions.

I'm torn if I should call him or not, I would like my money plus the bank charges for the bounced check.

If he was anybody else and he owed you money would you call him? Get your money back!

Grapes are versatile. Grapes can be sour, sweet, sublime as wine and fabulous even when old and dried out.

After a divorce without children ... I wonder what your 'gain' is from talking to him?

Get your OWN CPA/tax person and start your own financial life...

ONLY talk to your X-louse (oops, did I type that) when there is a GAIN for you ... not an invitation to another emotional dip.

My opinion only sweetie.

If and when your X comes crawling back to you on hands and knees, in his boxers, over shards of broken glass, begging your forgiveness .... then open your heart a little for a friendly discussion.

Until that time, he might only hurt you and confuse you further with his inconsiderate ways. I doubt he has YOUR best interest at heart.

Take care. I was wondering about you.

Have an attorney call him about the money... or send him a 'lawyer letter'.

OR .... better yet.... <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

If he does not pay ... take him to small claims court. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
