We have visitation this weekend.
On Thurs. I took breathing machine to daycare and stopped to look in on oc and saw a bad burn on oc's arm; talked to daycare administator.(i've been working at the other location) [color:"purple"] [/color] H called xow and she said it was from a curling iron that oc had pulled down on himself, and that she was going to tell us Monday when we had him. This looks to possibly be a 2nd degree burn and is healing nicely. She didn't take oc to ER or Doctors. Why not? Why wait till Monday? Was she trying to hide it? Later,
Visitation was changed to this weekend as we are moving next. We took pics and documented it. My Mom says it tooks like it was caused by something being held on his arm, as it is 2-3 almost oval to round shaped. Been trying to get H to take oc to ER to get it checked out.

My son was burned as a baby on the arm with a curling iron and it looked the same way...The burn happens IMMEDIATELY and when it first hits the skin you cant feel it, so the baby will not know it is there!
Neglegance on the mom's part..yes and NO...but we all make these mistakes...I MADE that mistake...Never again though...believe me the mom learned fromher lesson...the cry and fear was enough...

thanks for your reply never happened to me so i just need to know if you know what i mean.
We have decided to document and with pics. We will also give her the benifit of doubt this time.
Talk to my sister as well ,and she had it happen with one of hers when they where little.

And that is completely understandable! I think it is wise to document it just in case...do you SUSPECT child abuse from her to the child??? If so, then i would get cps involved asap...but you have to remember, even though it is an OW, that OW IS that baby's mother and I cant imagine her hurting him on purpose like that...She is a human being just as you and me...It is hard to grasp I know...but just keep loving that baby...HUGS to you!

to be honest i didn't know what to think,but talking with others helped.
I don't feel it's abuse, We did document w/pics just in case.
