Well, I finally got here. It took me so long due to various reasons. Mostly because I was off work last week and I wanted to completely stay away from computers as much as possible. However, I must admit, personal struggles kept me away too.

FF, I've been thinking of you a lot. I know I have your email around here somewhere. If the old board was open, I would of posted to you. I did manage to do a small bit of reading (i got tricked by LM's April fools joke, that was funny!) and I saw some of your posts, but then I could not get logged in succesfully. Today I took the time to read about how to set up cookies and such. Hopefully I will not have any further trouble now. I don't really know where things are standing for you now. Last I saw it sounded like it was definitly heading towards divorce for you. How are you doing?? Also NCwalker did manage to get a msg to me that you were asking about me. Thanks for that.

Hi to everyone else, I have go get to a mtg. I will be back.

Hey FL - It's great to see you! I've been praying for you and I hope that you're doing well...

3 more weeks and I'll be flying home to Mrs. RIF and our girls!

Hi again, this new board is not yet going well for me. It keeps logging me out!!! But at least the links are now working and I can consistently get inside of posts to read. I have tried all the suggestions I have found so far.

I'm sure once i figure it out i will come to appreciate the new board. actually i do already appreciate MB so much and the work the people behind MB do in order to support this board.

anyway....

FF, i just posted to your thread, thanks for bumping it up for me. you are one strong lady, I know happiness will once again fill your life once you are thru all this (did you see the topic by CJ's new guy. I forget the exact name of the poster, he created a new one in order to be mysterious. The topic is something about seeing a different perspective. you should read it!!!!

AD, i saw the thread you started for me a while back. thanks for your concern. i figured i would just post back to you here instead. I'm doing ok. parts of last week were a bit tough but i got thru it and i'm much stronger now because of it. as always, thanks for your support.

robby, thanks for the hi. oh, wait, you didn't actually say hi... oh well, i'm sure that is what you meant!!! I was actually thinking about you last week. Remember before I started counsoling? I was having a hard time getting myself to find someone and get started. Thanks for your encouragement back then Robby. the IC i ended up finding is great and i am much stronger because of the work we have done together.

RIF, only 3 more weeks, that is so awesome!!! I'm really glad you will be home where you belong soon. We are doing pretty good. somedays i worry we will never get past this, somedays i have an easier time believing we will. Both days i do hear your constant encourgement of "Look at the facts!!!" somedays i'm still not very successful, but i do believe i'm getting better at it.

H asked me out to dinner tommorow night. A nice restraunt, just the two of us. A thank you for getting our taxes and his mom's taxes done. I've always done ours, I started doing his moms when his dad died about 7 yrs ago.

So I'm thinking about what to wear and how to do up my hair, which, by the way is not normally me. I'm a no make-up, mostly jeans type of person. always have been. and it is good on the budget!! i have long curly hair down to my waist which i never do much to except let it dry and be curly on it's own, so i don't even spend money on hair cuts. ok, i do spend a lot on conditioners!!! i want to get gussied up more, not that I am going to attempt makeup or anything drastic like that!!! I guess I'm just thinking it would be nice to try to look my best. if it really is possible for a computer geek to look good!!!

Hey AD, you are only a few hours away, want to come help me??? ok, i'm joking.

now i'm going to try to read and perhaps even post a hi in i'ville!! then i have to get WORKING!!!

love to you all. it is nice to be back.

Hey FL!

You should go to one of those places in the mall that will fix you up for a glamor shot, get your hair done, get a new dress... and surprise your H for the date!

When he asks you what the "occasion" is... look deeply into his eyes and tell him that you did it all just for him!

Hey FL - Actually, I wasn't kidding.

I love it when Mrs. RIF gets all fixed up just for me... makes me feel 'special'.

I'll be that your H will love it and it *ahem* might lead to something more when you return home from your date!

ok, that last stmt was not very positive.

if i can't even visualize it, how can i accomplish it?

so to accomplish it i first have to visualize it.

man i feel pathetic right about now!!!! i would not call myself a tom boy (nor was i when i was younger) i'm just not a girly girl either. i'm just me.

Gawd~~I'd love to come help you out! I'm a makeover artist wannabe.

I'm with RIF~~do yourself up. Hair, nice dress, and yes the dreaded make-up~~the whole nine. I don't know a man alive who doesn't appreciate a woman dressing up and looking her best for him. I'm not saying totally glammed up where you don't feel yourself or comfortable, but naturally pretty and sexy. If you're not used to applying make-up though, you may want to consider having a pro do it, (maybe tomorrow on your lunch hour?)

I'm excited for you!

FL,

I can sure visualize a woman with long hair, carefully made up, nicely dressed, smiling, being ... very very attractive. FL, go for it, enjoy it, and I will bet your H will be in shock. You really don't understand men do you FL? We like women who like us and one way to show it is to pay attention to themselves and how they look on special occasions. Make is a special occasion...just because.

Go for it.

I am with the rest of them. I am not sure about RIF though, he has been in that darned desert a long time. However, he has the right idea.

God Bless,

JL

lol, nope, no makeup for me!! i had a friend try to put it on me for my wedding, she had marginal success, i think she got a bit of blush on me.

not to offend those that wear make up cuz i may only have this opinion due to believing i'm incapapble of applying makeup, but i really don't like makeup. i tell my daughter, God made us beautiful just the way we are. I do believe in having good grooming habits. my fetish is eyebrows!!! before i owned tweasers (like early HS days) mine looked more like one than two seperate ones. i'm italian, what more can i say.

i must admit, you do all have me wondering if my husband would like to see me with makeup on.....

AD, you are abosolutely right about one thing, i'ld wouldn't want to attempt makeup on my own!!!

lol, ok, i sound like i am so clueless, i'm not really. i have been blessed with very clear skin and long eyelashes. the one eyebrow thing (and yes the italian mustache, which i finally started waxing off about 4yrs ago!!) is not a blessing but it is managable!! funny story about the mustache thing, i had a neighbor friend, a very girly girl type of person, decide, about 4ys ago, that i needed a day off of work. i had been putting in a lot of hours and i was looking stressed, she didn't know about my dad and all the other stessful things going on. anyway, she told me to take a day off, she was arranging everything, trip to a spa, into the city for a hair cut (i hated the hair cut!!! thankfully it grew back), the works.

she picks me up, hands me a glass of wine and says, i've arranged for a waxing too. now she was talking waxing everytwhere, but i declined on the bikini area. thank you very much!!!! but the facial waxing was really a good thing to discover, almost as good as when i discovered those tweezers back in HS.

ok, should i be marking this topic for girls only now???

robby, i know you must be cracking up!!!!

i can't beleive i am saying all this!!!! i guess it's ok since none of you know where i live!!!!! lol

Hi FL !!!

Theres no better aphrodisiac than to have the woman who loves me dress up and groom for no reason other than to please me.

Makes a man feel really special.

The fact that it may be unusual for you to do that makes it more fun !

You have nothing to lose and you'll feel GREAT too !

Nothing OTT in my opinion. LUSH hairdo, subtle make up. Red RED lipstick. You'll wow him.
