I have recently found out that my ex g/f is 3 months pregnant with my child, obviously this concerns me greatly. I know that I must do the right thing and be a father to my child, and have no problem doing so. My problem, and question, is what to do about US? My family and her family are split on our opinions on what to do in this situation. My ex had initially decided to put the baby up for adoption at birth since we are not together, but has since changed her mind to keep the baby. My family believes that it would be best for the baby's future to be adopted into a family who can be there for him/her at all times, and the child would know no different, especially since my career has taken me many miles away from my ex and I would not be able to see my own child very often at all. Her family wants her to keep the baby, and has showed interest in pressuring me to marry her already, which is something that I do not feel comfortable with since I do not love her. I know that this is just as much my fault as her's, and I do not blame her for anything at all. I do not feel comfortable with the idea of marrying someone that I do not love just for the reason that she is pregnant with my child, any help or advice would be appreciated!

Do not compound one error with another by getting married. STick to your guns.

I believe ultimately, it really ends up being her decision. Since you're not volunteering to take the child.

In fact, do you even actually have any rights at all when it comes to this kid? Moral rights, but I think your GF calls the shots.

So much of this discussion may be moot.
