This is going to be a good day, well, as good a day as can be expected at this point. My team is back in town for a 10 game homestand. We play every day here at home for the next 10 days! We won our first four games at home to open the season and then proceeded to go out on the road to lose 5 in a row! Ughhhh! Glad the boys are back home. Hopefully we can right the good ship! Its funny, before all this, I used to not really look forward to these long homestands. I would say goodbye to my wife and my dogs basically for a week and a half. Wake up, go to work. Come home, get in bed and go to sleep. But the times after the homestands it was very sweet. WW and I would spend every spare moment together. So now, things are turned upside down. Love the homestands and the times in between are very tough on me. Spoke by telephone with a mutual friend last night and he indicated that the thought of a possible reconciliation has crossed WW's mind. She will be moving out of the home of the female friend she moved in with upon separating. This woman's husband who has been on a tour of duty in the middle East will be back just after the 1st of May. WW will be moving in with her brother and his wife at the end of the month. The woman she has been living with has very much been an enabler to WW's A. Needless to say I wouldnt cross the street to piss on this woman if she was on fire. WW is still lying to her brother and parents about A. They want to believe her despite what I told them in exposure. Although I have seen some signs that WW's brother knows in his heart that I am correct. He just doesnt want to accept the truth yet. He is still trying to get WW to reconcile with me. It will be real interesting what happens when she moves in with him. I dont see how she will be able to keep her A under wraps while living in the same house. Anyway, hope we can get W this afternoon. Game time is 4pm. After the game I will head over to my parent's house to have dinner and pick up my birthday present from them. I am going to be another year older on Tuesday. Not looking forward to that.

Thanks Stormy! You are right. Things are going to get better. Received a missed phone call from WW's parents on Sunday during the game. Sent them an email asking who had called and what was up. They responded yesterday with birthday wishes and said that was why they called. I sent an email back thanking them and expressing my desire for a reconciliation. Didnt bash WW at all. I wonder how that is going to go over. We won Sunday's game and last night as well. We have won all 6 at home and all 5 on the road. Another home game tonight. Not sure if anyone here at work today realizes it is my birthday. Just another day to me at this point. Will work all day and go home and take care of my dogs late tonight and go to sleep. Get up tomorrow and do it all over again. Thats okay though. As Osteen says, every day that passes we are one day closer to a miracle. I just wish I knew what the miracle is going to be.

That was nice of her parents. They sound like good people.
I was really surprised when I read in the book that Joel's Dad had gone through one divorce before. He was a really famous and admired preacher. I never knew that about him. It is good that he took what the devil intended for evil and turned it all to the good through Christ.
It is awesome that it sounds like she is already considering reconciliation.

Stormy, I think maybe you misread my reply. Or maybe God is speaking to me through you! I dunno. But I dont have any indication that she is thinking about reconciliation. I also dont have any indication that the A is off. All I do know is that her brother, who she is moving in with at the end of the month, is still hopeful that reconcilation will happen. In my email response to her parents, I expressed my desire for a reconciliation. Knowing that they are staunch Catholics and that they dont believe in divorce, I am sure that they will be happy to hear that I would still take her back. Now I do know that WW has continued to lie to them about A and has demonized me in order to justify her separation and divorce filing. I am sure they are quite confused. I had thought about sending them all of the documentation of the proof of her affair, but didnt after I went into plan B with no contact. I have since turned over all documentation to my attorney, which he will use during her deposition. So, at this point they dont really know what the truth is. I might have made a mistake by not sending them the irrefutable proof early on. But by doing that, I might have tipped my evidence hand to her and her attorney. Still wrestling with that. I guess I just hoped that they would take my word that I had irrefutable proof. I guess it will hit them like a ton of bricks if and when I do send it to them.

"Spoke by telephone with a mutual friend last night and he indicated that the thought of a possible reconciliation has crossed WW's mind." I took that as maybe she was considering reconciliation.
It sounds like you are doing the best you can and that is what counts.

Yes, that was indicated to me but I have no idea if WW is seriously considering it or if it is just a response to my expressed desire. I am trying not to dwell on it. I have just had so many people (including my atty) tell me that they think she will seek reconciliation. I dont know what they are basing it on. It may be that they are just saying it out of respect for me or they are trying to be kind to me in their own way. I dunno. I guess my brain is still silly salad (as a friend of mine put it) right now. I look forward to the first pitch of the game every night so that I have nothing to think about but the game. It is my refuge right now.

There is a new comedy about baseball out with Drew. My brother loves sports. I think he would get a kick out of it. When you talk about baseball I think about my brother and that movie.
It just seems logiacl that at some point she would come out of the fog and realizes what a great guy she has and see what she is going to lose. But, there are no guarantees in life. Hopefully, she will realize it before it is too late.

Stormy, it is no wonder to me that baseball has had more movies made about it than any other sport. To me, baseball mirrors real life more so than any other sport. After all, in baseball a hitter fails more than he succeeds. As a matter of fact, if a hitter is successful only 3 out of 10 times at the plate, he gets into the Hall of Fame! I didnt know that about Osteen's father. Interesting. Thanks for the kind words. I guess everyone's optimism is a sign of respect. I hope others realize though that it is not me that gives me strength. It all comes from the Lord. Today is a struggle though. On the way back to the ballpark from lunch, I heard the song "Running on Empty" by Jackson Browne. Kinda epitomizes my feelings right now.

It is a great group of people on this board. I got some inspiration and perspective from Binder's post this morning. Yesterday was tough. My first birthday without my WW in 9 years and I had to work all day and to top it off we played 11 innings last night. Thank God we won in the bottom of the 11th. Anyway, I heard from a lot of friends and family yesterday, but not a word from WW. Not that I really expected any though. Didnt even have time to go buy myself anything. I am just glad yesterday has passed. Hopefully future ones will be easier for me. I am not going to lie I was a pretty angry puppy yesterday for my situation and WW's role in it. Reading what other mb'ers have gone through and how long they have been going through it puts things in perspective for me though. I am in awe of some of these folks like Binder and WorthATry and many others. It makes me aspire to their level of coping. I thank God for the people on this site and I pray for their happiness.
