Hi all. I've been going through all of this stuff for over 2 years. WH is still "not living" with OW. He has never stepped up to the plate and admitted to anything. OW has left her 13 year old daughter and husband to live with my WH. They seem to be very happy together.

So - I have a new life, not of my choosing. It is a good life, but not what I planned. I have moved on.

I used to be a wife, mom, and step-mom. It was my whole life. I stuggled for many months. The thought of losing everything was terrifying for me.

Finally I got the strength to realize that I could never feel the same way about my WH. So he is out of my life.

I have been very blessed in my new life. Even though it is not what I would have chosen, it is wonderful. I've been very involved in volunteer work. My new dream is to go to Oaxaca and do missionary work. This would never have happened if my WH had not strayed. So I need to thank the Lord for His work in my life.

Right now, I am contented, and needing to do the Lord's work. For all of you who are still hurt and suffering - hang in there - you never know how all of this will turn out.

b,

Its hard enough living with the consequences of our own decisions but even harder to live with those of someone elses decisions.

There's like a million cliches' that could be said about all the stuff that has happened....

Strengthened in the fire....
That which doesn't kill us...
or even the quote in my sig.

But truthfully, All things come together for the grace of God.

Where grace abounds, so abounds good works. (2 Corinthians 9:8) Grace enables ordinary individuals to do extraordinary things in the service of God.

I'm not calling you ordinary <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

My prayers are with you as you start this exciting chapter of your life.

God Bless,

Doug

in His grip and holding on.

I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I was intended to be.

Believer, that is so cool! It sounds a lot like a friend of ours....his wife divorced him this past year and he took a mission trip to the Dominican Republic for 8 days in February, loved it SO much, and felt drawn to go back and spend more time down there, more long-term. He said, too, that if his wife hadn't left him, he definitely would never have gone in the first place and found how much he would love to do more missions work there.....but that's not to say that God's will was for his wife to leave him, only that God worked things out for good. God is so wonderful!

All the best to you!

I can see you doing that Believer. You are just the woman for the job.

Good for you, and good for those with whom you will be crossing paths!

WOW! My first post on the new website and it's a much deserved pat on the back to my friend Believer. Its been a long period of a swooping emotional rollercoaster for me as well. It all feels so surreal doesn't it? I wish you nothing but the best in this stage of your journey. Who knows what wonderful treasures await you just around the corner. Stay your course.
