Today is FaithfulNewCJ's 43rd birthday. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> Can you believe it? I bet you thought I was MUCH, MUCH younger, huh? :P Someone as crazy as me just HAS to be a kid! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> So far, I have celebrated my day by sleeping in; taking a long, hot bath and washing my hair; and drinking cappuccino and grape juice. I got THE BEST gift ever from my beau, and whilst it shall remain between us for a bit, let's just say that for the REST OF MY LIFE I'm going to be happy on my birthday! For a long time, my birthdays were ignored or worse--and then a few years ago the Columbine Shootings were on my birthday--so let's just say that I did not look at my birthdays with joy. Now, for the entire rest of my life, I WILL. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I will turn 43 on my next Birthday. I hope I am as excited as you are CJ! This whole age of 40 and then some now has been not too fun! I am not enjoying these numbers!

43 is like a wonder year. There are times after that when you loose that feeling of knowing that you are the BEST you can be - but more often than not, you realize that life is good and you are the best you can be at any given moment.

There's suddenly a peace that allows you to accept your own imperfections, and realize that there are things in life you can't change - and really don't want to - because they are just not your responsibility. It's precious because it opens up a whole new opportunity to see the future with a perspective of what the past really was (a place where we learn that life is what we make of it - and we can make every day of our future better, by just making today a great day).

So, go out there and have a great year!!! (And that's an order from someone who's older and wiser <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> - lol) I gotta tell you - that older and wiser don't necessarily go together anywhere but in print - sometimes I think my 10 year old has me whooped in the wiser department!!! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
