ok my fiance feels left out because he figures guys should get engagement rings to so other girls know they are taken. We have our wedding bands and are getting married next friday but he wants to know if its bad luck to wear the wedding bands now?
Does anyone know if its bad luck or anything.

I bought my fiance a ring when we first started getting serious for that exact reason (about the same time he bought me a promise ring).
IMHO, wearing the rings before the wedding might jinx it. I think probably for the same reason you can't use any gifts prior to the actual wedding... God forbid something should happen.
Btw - congratulations! I'm another 2-1/2 weeks from my wedding, but antsy!

thanx congrats to you too and thanks for the reply. I dont want to jinx anything so i guess he'll have to wait to wear his ring.

Hubby felt the same way. A bit jealous. Gifts are among his top emotional needs. Maybe the same is true for your fiance. Hubby wore his wedding band on his right hand as his "engagement ring" and moved it to his left on our wedding day. It was a good compromise that made us both happy. Superstition is less important than your fiance's feelings.
Congrats on the impending nuptuals!

I love being proved wrong. Being proved wrong means that I have gained in knowledge, while being proved right is evidence of nothing more than stagnation.
