My DD has been studying poetry in school. They've had to write poems in all sorts of different styles. This is hwat I found in her notebook as I was finally unheaping the table. (It's a horizontal surface so it builds up quickly!) This brought tears to my eyes and I had to share it.
Kinds of moms like mine are Lovely in a beautiful sort and always Make dinner that's real good and Never leave my side I love her lots.
There's a bright side to every day.
Grapes are versatile. Grapes can be sour, sweet, sublime as wine and fabulous even when old and dried out.

Don't think you've never been blessed when you have that kind of love. Even if you're husband doesn't recognize your worth someone does.
How's your plan A going?

Grapegirl - I hope this doesn't spoil your thread but it seemed an appropriate place to post what my eldest daughter wrote. Dedicated to her dad. Found in her drawer and cried over by the two of us.
You do what you want You don't give a damn Tear me apart Look who I am
Breakaway slowly If only I could Think of me now You know that you should
That word meant unity That word meant trust That word means now nothing Swept away like dust
Ripping me up Deep down inside Hard to take it on I know I've tried
Don't just take me To throw me away Though you have gone I'm going to stay
Crying under my breath Turning to someone to comfort me Nothing will ever be fun You took it away
I'm not just a shadow.
She's a quiet girl carrying a lot of hurt with so much courage. TT

If he slit his wrists, I'd be even more in the myre. No, I didn't give it to him. I'll save it for Father's Day. TT
