Welcome. I'm sorry it looks like divorce. I'm not exactly sure what to say about your post, except that surely, it's not up to your wife to dictate whom you tell when...

I simply can't imagine how heartless she must be to tell you about that "contest." Yuck. The contest itself is digusting.

Have you talked to a lawyer? If not, you need to. Take no action until you know what you're up against.

Good luck. Keep up with the mantras.

2YTL... i don't post too often... i am just about D'd... she left me for OM... yadda yadda (not important)... the part of the post i want to comment on is the (jung/briggs/meyers) q's on personality types, as i have studied them and many aspects of pysch... it relates p-types to Rs rather than Ms... some say same same... not me... two different dynamics completely... for the most part, Ms start out as health Rs... anyway, there is an important aspect to remember that is stated very clearly in those references... "any two well-developed individuals of any personality type can enjoy a healthy Relationship"... 'well-developed' is the operative word in that statement... so to answer you question, are you "doomed?"... well, no... and the fact that all the letters are opposite is no indication of that either... in fact, it is often good that there are complimenting (opposite) introvert and extrovert functions... it also depends on wether the function is dominant, aux, tertiary or inferior... it gets quite involved, and i am not q-ing your inteligence, but my suggestion to you is that you get a true determination of both of your personality types from a reputable (objective) source before you put to much thought and effort (faith) into using personality typing as a tool... it is very difficult to type yourself or your SO, as you will be far to bias... i am an INFJ, stbxw is an ESFP... it was a mix that was good for 6 out of 8 years... back to zen truth,,, "it is what it is and no amount of 'wishing' or 'wanting' can change that simple fact"...

'essential' Jung: 'The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical sunstances. If there is any reaction, both are transformed'.

good luck...
